Standard Tournament Rules??

We have a local tournament in a few weeks and in the past the organizers have been a little sloppy on the rules and enforcement of them. Now the shop owner has stepped in to correct this but I was going to shoot him over a list of rules that should be covered.
Here is what I got so far...

Clear legible army lists with extra copy would be nice for the judge and other players. Even have printed copies of Games Workshop army list sheet available and if they show up with chicken scratch writing on a piece of note book paper, ask them to rewrite it.

Double check army list totals before the start of first round

Make sure players have all materials required. Players need all figures required, army book, rulebook, templates and dice.

Late players not allowed play (Players arriving later than 10 minutes after the start of the first round)

You see what you get (YSWYG), I understand with newer players that this can be a problem, but it needs to be close. Armless marines don’t cut it.

Min of 3 colors painted, this is another rule you could be lenient on because of newer Players, but just primed or no paint at all is not fair to the players that spend hours trying to make their army look nice.

The BIG thing is to enforce these rules without hurting people’s feelings. I know that can be difficult at times, but this is a paid tournament not a standard after school basement game with your buddy.

Am I missing anything???

See the AdeptiCon draft championships and team tournament rules posted in the first news item. That should give you a good idea of things to possibly include.

http://www.adepticon.org/

I have seen store owners being more willing to enforce rules that turn customers away when you increase the tourney entry fee and turn more of that entry fee into store credit prizes. Guaranteeing sales and moved inventory makes Store Owners happier. Make sure they are happy and theyw ill back your TO's rules.
