I am experimenting with different approaches as you still need to scrub with a toothbrush to get the gunk off, its messy and best off being done outside. How do I agitate it and get it to come off?

Tesco's All Purpose Cleaner is supposed to be good and costs 29p

Haven't tried that yet as only just got some.
The Fairy Power Spray proved okay but still hard work to remove what I now assume to have been White primer. Also some other bits stuck despite desperate scrubbing. Must have been doing summat wrong

It works well except the awful gunge which the paint turns into gets on to everything. I had to buy a plastic washing up bowl so I could clean off the figures.
