Recently I bought myself the chaos termie lord/sorceror and have painted him up....kinda.
I've painted him, but he doesn't look right, I need to wash the main armour plates....but I'm not sure which wash to use as they are painted with necron abyss, I've tried asurmen blue and badab black, but they just change the colour of the armour without adding any kind of shading....could someone please help? ^^]]> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/316746/1923971.page http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/316746/1923971.page GMT Which wash should i use?
Take a small round brush and wash over the recesses first then do a quick once over on the other areas to tie the colors in. After that go back with a clean slightly damp brush and soak up any pools left on flat areas and highlights.

I base coated it black then painted necron abyss onto all of the armour plates, i then painted all of the trims etc with shinning gold, aplying a badab black wash to the whole model afterwards, then i applyed a wash of asurmen blue to the blue parts of the model to bring back some of the blue colour....but atm the "blue" still looks REALY dark.
