				<title>Are the Space puppies psychic hoods any different from BA or space marines?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I was playing a few games a while back, one with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span> another with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span>. and I noticed something...<br /> <br /> When my sorcerer attempted to use a power the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span> player had to beat me in a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>LD</span>+<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> test to negate it plus one libby can only block one spell per turn.  It was written in the book so I was Ok with that, but the problem arises when I fight the wolves..<br /> <br /> Second battle; this time against space puppies. I go to do my warptime/wind of chaos combo and he says his librarian's got a psychic hood, so I take out my dice and say roll your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span>+<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> to see if you beat me. He then says "Space wolf psychic hoods negate spells on a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> roll of 4+" (which is BY FAR alot more powerful then normal). I didn't want to be rude so I allowed it without question. He went on in the entire game negating every single one of my spells by rolling 4+ every time (they even get to block more then one spell too D<img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"> after losing that game terribly I got to thinking.. how is the very same wargear so much more powerful on the wolves then it is for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span>/normal marines?<br /> <br /> <br /> The question is:<br /> <br /> Do the wolves get a psychic hood that does anything differently? or was I just being conned by the Space puppy player?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ They are different, its a staff or some crap that cancels powers, not a hood. They roll a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>D6</span> and on a 4+ (Njal I believe needs a 3+) they cancel powers]]></description>

That means atleast SOME of my spells had a chance of making it through easier.. since one of my sorcerers weren't even near the priest. Oh well.]]></description>

After passing the psychic leadership test, the Space Wolf play calls the Runic Weapon and rolls 1D6. On a 4+ the power's effects are cancelled. On a 3-, the power goes off and does whatever it's supposed to do. ]]></description>

So in the above situation if you had a single sorceror surrounded by 4 rune priests the wolf player still only gets one 4+ roll. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yes. So if you see  a rune priest and inquisitor across from you you can get hit with both the staff and hood. Neither can be used with more of the same, but they dont cancel each other out. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yes, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> Runic Weapon is different to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> one and is somewhat more powerful.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span> 10 Psyker Vs Hood: 53.50%<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span> 10 Psyker Vs Rune: 45.83%<br /> <br /> I can only pray to Tzeentch that Chaos gets something comparable when we get an update.<br /> <br /> Anyone else remember the Warp Blade? It was similar to the Runic Weapon but in addition to negating the power, it caused a Perils of the Warp as well!]]></description>
