Hey guys and gals.

I really don't know how to start one of these so I guess I can start off by telling y'all a lil bit about me. Five-ish years later I fell out of the game . For awhile now I've wanted to get back into to things like I was when I was just a little one. I've been putting of the rebuilding of my IG army for a long time, way too long. So imma try to use this blog as a way to motivate myself to get back into the hobby.

I don't know how to post pics on this site ( I know imma a noob haha ), but I'll tell y'all what I have still ....

1 Psyker
4 Junior Officers ( 2 have power fists )
1 Commissar
1 Senior Officer
61 Las Gunners
4 Snipers
9 GL
5 Flamers
2 Leman Russ' ( 1 is a demolisher )
2 Hellhounds
12 Heavy Weapons

I'll try to put together the fluff of my regiment's members as well as there home-worlds later in the day or in the following days.

My paint stripper of choice is Simple Green...it seems to do a good job with taking off paint and not harming the mini. Soaking the mini overnight and then taking a toothbrush to it will get most of the paint off. You may need some small picks or similar implements to dig little bits of paint out of small crevices.

Re:1st Killeen Infantry - A WIP Imperial Guard Army

So after putting up some photos I'd like to share my regiment's back story, so here we go ....

The 1st Killeen Infantry Regiment
Assault Brigade

-Overview-
Killeen was a small Earth size world located in the Cen-Tex Cluster. The world is known for it's fertile farmland. The world was rediscovered in the late M. 40 by the Banzi Brigade. The Banzi's were a elite drop regiment. After making planet fall they encountered stiff resistance from the local population, who seemed to be just backwater framers. These simple framers turned out to be well trained or experienced fighters. After a cease-fire was brokered by the Banzi's and the Killeenites, it was discovered that the Killeenites were plagued by constant raids of orks. By nature they were made into hard fighters to protect what by was birth theirs. After relaying this information to Imperial Command the Banzi Brigade was ordered to garrison the planet and train up a proper PDF. After many years the Banzi's were ordered to a new warzone, but the skills and traits they left behind are still visible in the fighting style of the Killeenites. The Departmento Munitorum classified the world as a civilised world. The Killeenites by nature are mostly of medium or short height and have normal frames.

-Culture-
The Killeenites are like most Imperial worlds civilized. Because of the training the Banzi's left behind, the ork raids have grounded to a halt. Many young men and women volunteer for PDF service. These leads to a population that is ready to serve and protect it's planet as wall as the Imperium as a whole. Although not forcing it's people into military service it is encouraged to serve at least two years. The main reason that people are asked to join up is because not of duty, brotherhood, honor, but because the training will help the graduates prepare for the trials of the future.

One of the main points that differ between the Killeenites and the rest of the Imperium is that they do not see the Emperor as a God, but instead as a extraordinary man given great gifts by a higher God to protect and guide Humanity as a whole. Because of this small fact many different people see the Killeenites as heritics that should be purged from the galaxy. Instead of being brought down by this small fact, the Killeenites turn this into strength and push forward alone, because of this the men and women of the Killeen regiments are known for their strong sense of pride and will.

If there is one thing drilled into the minds of each Killeenite, it is get the job done no matter the cost.

-Tithe-
The local tithe of the planet until recently has never asked for a regiment. The population pulled together some of there best and youngest PDF units such as the infamous Grey Wolf light fighters to the untested Palo Altoians. The new guardsmen consisted of both men and women. The tithe was not resented by the population, but instead it was praised due to the fact the the Killeenites were now given a chance to prove there worth as a people to the rest of the Imperium.

In the words of Commissar Breaux ( one of thier first commissars ) " The Killeenites are a strong breed of soldiers that will give everything and ask for little in return. Their rough look may throw away many of my colleagues, but I look forward to gaining honor with these brave souls "

So please give me your opinions and what not guys thanks
