Id drive him the over hour drive. So being the nice feller I am, said sure. So everything was going GREAT on the way there, then we got about 10 minutes away from the place when it happened. The light turned red, and the intersection filled when my brakes blew out. I was still slowing down and pow, to the floor and now Im speeding to the intersection. I barely miss a school bus, cut off like 3 or 4 cars and end up on the side of the road.

Brake fluid was just puking out from everywhere. So I got to drive 30mph using the neutral and Ebrake to stop my car. It took nearly twice as long to get home, and found out that I blew out 3 of the 4 brake lines somehow. Id suggest foul play, but the lines were severely rotted in this one spot, that oddly enough had the 3 lines strapped to it. So yea, I get to wake up bright and early, and help the old man fix the bloody thing. HURRAY!

Also thanks, Im a pretty good driver. I used to drift in my astrovan during the winter months. Yea drifting in an astro van on winter roads IS awesome. My brother used to live in rather twisty/turny trailer park and MAN that was alot of fun in there. I could slide sideways from one stop sign to another in perfect pro drifter style. That does suck though, as really brake lines aren't one of those things you tend to check as a matter of course. You weren't losing fluid through a slow leak as a warning?

Nope no warning, just pop. But we found out that the guy that had the car before me, for some ODD reason, zip tied all 4 lines together in one spot. And from that, it rusted heavily right there. Im guessing the tie was rubbing on the lines as well, because thats where they failed. The 3 split right there, and the 4th has a pin hole, hence the reason for no brakes.
