I've recently bought a pretty substantial batch of new models for my Eldar army and I'm stuck considering what colours to use on them. I want them in green, but I have no idea which kind of green would go well with Eldar's sleek, lithe looks, especially for their tanks. I'm looking for something like Biel-tan, but slightly darker and with more green than white. Advice on what to paint the gemstones with would be very useful too.

I'm completely untrained painter, so any starter tips would also be welcome, doubly so for painting Eldar in particular. What to avoid and what to look for, that sort of thing. I flipped the scheme and painted the body green and helmets white as I didn't want to have to look at all that white I think it works quite well.
