Third game it managed to take out a unit of 4 flamers BARELY, overran into a lord of change and was crunched.

So my experiences with it hasn't been great so far, but I committed a lot of money into the model (making an enslaved dragon counts as) so I'm sticking it out. I've been avoiding them so far, but I see them being a larger force multiplier when included in a list with hydras and other difficult targets. Odds are a hydra and CoC will destroy a unit or cripple it to the point of being able to wipe them out on your next turn for another charge. If you are packing hydras odds are those cannons won't be shooting at your chariots, and it increases your resilience to small arms fire.

Again this is a unit I would never take without a CoB BSB for the reroll. Likely I'd have them flank my generals spear unit with a Banner of Discipline.
