WHat army themes and when?????

Hello everyone, i am fairly new to the forum and just wanted to say hi.

I currently have the following armies at the moment:
Orks
Eldar
Blood Angels
Tyranids

The eldar, blood angels and tyranids i got through an old friend who stopped playing the game after 30 years, and so theya re currently his paint schemes. They are as follows:

Tyranids - behemoth (red and black)
Blood angels - black with red pads ( he used parts from both BA and DA to make his models)
Eldar - beil-tann

My orks are goff colours, and i have changed the eldar to half blue hald white (vertically).
However because me and this old friend no longer speak, i want to re-aint his armies he had as i want them to be my own, but i dont know what colours to paint them, the quickest way and best way. I was thinking of painting the tyranids the ymgarl purple with regal blue colours and the BA the proper BA colours. However i know that painting red on top of black is a nightmare, even with foundation paints.

I roughly have 5-6 k points worh of each army.

Any thoughs people? know any quick ways to get them done but also look cool?

Also out of my 4 armies, which should i paint 1st??

many thanks

a good way for the nids is to first strip the paint, then prime the hole thing white, then wash it with watever wash you want, then paint the shell stuff a color close to the color of the wash, then use the wash and wash the hole model. quick and looks good

Re:WHat army themes and when?????

Id say paint up the tyranid army and use Heresy555's advice, but also paint the claws.

But for those blood angles:

1. Prime with White Primer
2. Use Bloody red as a base coat (or Blood Red if you use GW paint).
3. Apply the Baal Red wash all over the model. This darkens the red a bid and gives good shading.
4. Apply Blood red again all over the model, except in the recesses leave those the darkend red.
5. Eyes. Paint them Goblin Green, Then near the front of the eye a smaller dot of scorpion green.
6.Paint bolt gun a dark metal color, than apply a black wash (not to heavy) and than coat the bolt gun again without going in recesses again.
7. Highlight with orange (This is entirely optional)

It might sound like a lot, but it is actually really fast, especially if you paint a lot at a time.
With the white primer, you only need those two coats of red paint.

hope I helped out!
