Now you just need some autocannons/lascannons/long-range anti tank to stop his 2 rhinos and the landraider. Add a power blob or two to take him apart when he hits.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Biased source here, but yeah, a power blob army would eat this for breakfast. Every turn, his HUGE pile of points spent on tank-hunting devestators would kill a couple guardsmen a turn.<br /> <br /> ... a couple out of like 120...<br /> <br /> If you insist on a vehicular option, I'd invest in stuff that outflanks. A vendetta with 3x plasma vets is likely to do a pretty serious amount of damage, even when in cover.<br /> <br /> So long as you don't try to do a mixed static gunline, there is hope for whatever style you play.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

That just me been a d ick. You going to have to get rid of his anti-tank weapon, then you are in the clear to mop up the rest of his army. ]]></description>

Melta vets are the only truly reliable anti-AV14 the guard has.  Vanquishers, as you pointed out, die quickly or miss too often to be truly effective.  I would like to echo the other ideas about on here about blobbing troops together and picking up a reliable way of getting some vets close to the enemy such as a Valkyrie/Vendetta.]]></description>

Melta Vets are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> the cheapest most effective throw away unit to do that.  I would hate to waste a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> to pop a raider and then die next turn.  Instead of "only truly" I should have said "most".]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Broadly speaking, your army has a serious case of "good-but-not-efficient." Take your infantry squads.  At this point, you're paying 95 points for those ones with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span>'s, and a more reasonable but still impressive 80 points for the missila launcher units.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>IMHO</span>, infantry squads are just too vulnerable to cost more than maybe 65 points.  My friend plays guard, and he swears by the autocannon/vox-caster combo.  That vanquisher, likewise, is costing you 235 points, where a regular russ--which would probably do you better, both in this particular battle and generally, would cost only 150, plus sponsons.  <br /> <br /> More specifically:<br /> <br /> --knock the pintle gun and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(55);'>HK</span> missile off of that chimera<br /> <br /> --your platoon command squads should spam something: grenade launchers are ok, but I'd prefer flamers<br /> <br /> --generally speaking, infantry lascannons aren't worth the points: 3 of them sets you back 120 points, whereas for the same amount and a fast attack slot, you could have them all twin-linked, moving and with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span>'s via the vendetta<br /> <br /> --I recommend cutting your infantry back, you want either meltaguns or a heavy weapon, but both is too much<br /> <br /> So, if you follow my advice, you'll save about 165 or so points, which, if you play a smaller battle, will work in your favor.  If not, that's almost another entire russ, i.e. one more chance to blow away your opponent's long fangs before they can shoot.  ]]></description>

You fight his captain in close combat with rough riders. i done this last time and they took eachother out at the exact same time. 65pts for 200 odd isn't bad. use medusas to kill his infantry without letting his tank hunters drawing line of sight. get rattlings and the pyhker battle squad so that you reduce the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> models leadership to 2 and you pin them with ratlings. then you can send out tanks (preferably demolishers) to deal with the rest.  ]]></description>

The rest can be finished with plasmagunners and powerblobs.<br /> he wont have a nice day...<br /> <br /> As a wolf you can field far more firepower to outshoot the guards.]]></description>

Have you given those <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(504);'>TWC</span> from Chaos Knights a run against him yet?  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> hate <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(504);'>TWC</span> from what I have seen.<br /> <br /> I have to agree that the more firepower you take in the form of Medusa/Manticore/Hydras/Vendettas as well as a Psyker battle squad the better your chances are against Wolves.]]></description>

Redeemers aren't really very scary and you can basically ignore it for a turn. Concentrate <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> on the Rhinos on turn 1, and position a decoy unit for his Redeemer to chase after. Something he'll want to charge his Terminators into, but that you can move back and refuse. <br /> <br /> Drop-Dreads are one-shotters and not really scary unless they're using that ridiculous Lucius Pattern pod. They'll kill what they were going to kill anyway and then you can meltagun them into oblivion on your turn. Venerable dreads can get lucky... but as long as you stop the damned thing from moving for a turn or take off the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(571);'>DCCW</span> you're pretty well off.]]></description>

Don't take for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>.<br /> <br /> Low on meltas, as everyone has commented. If you don't want to change your squads too much, use the saving from Yarrick to add some meltabombs to squads.<br /> <br /> Maybe add normal commissar to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> and chuck in some power weapons/fists as well. You need to be able to kill those terminators once the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> has been popped ...]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm going to keep yarrick for the simply reason that i put him with a troop choice on my objective and then when the squad is wiped out by his power squad and he dies he contests the objective when he gets up almost making sure I never loss my base objective, because its doubtful im getting it back. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah Yarrick is taken because he is cool and you just really want to take him. Another option to take out a raider are stormtroopers. 5 Deepstriking stormtroopers with 2 meltaguns are about 105 points. With the abilty to re-roll the scatter then are a great melticide squad.  They are a tad better then Vet Squads at this due to having a built in delievery system.  Long Range Target Saturation should take care of his long fangs, either some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span>'s or A russ of some sort. Take Creed and outflank a Bane Wolf, I only did it once, not super effective, but my oppenent was sweating bullets.]]></description>

If you want to beat your friend then stop making excuses and start taking notes. <br /> <br /> *Yarrick is way too over priced for a 1500 point game. <br /> -I could have one Yarrick or one more Melta Vet squad with Chimera, and sergent with Plasma Pistol, and still have points left over... um bye-bye Comrade<br /> <br /> *Command Squad w/ 4 Melta and Chimera 145 points and that's it, NO EXTRAS EXCEPT FOR:<br /> -Maybe take an Astropath to help the reserves come in. <br /> -add a Plasma Pistol to the Commander<br /> <br /> *Leman Russ Tanks are good at taking out infantry only!!!!<br /> -Drop the Vanquisher, and put in 3 Hyrda Flak Tanks (Saves you 10 points). <br /> -Hyrdas are your anti-Rhino, anti-Drop Pod, anti-dred option for slowing down his army (and they work pretty well against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span>'s <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>btw</span>).  <br /> <br /> *You need Vendetta's. Kill FOOT SLOGGERS!!!!<br /> - 4/5 Plasma Cannon blasts per turn hurts anything that walks<br /> <br /> And about your troop choices.... dude...<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> troop choice 101<br /> Veterens with 3 Melta's and Chimera.... 155 points (yes 155, NO EXTRAS!!!, only thing you should consider taking with this basic build would be a sergent w/ plasma). Buy about 3-5 of them and turn your build from pooper, to super.<br /> <br /> Eventually you can start playing around with Platoon kitting to create the right synergy, but as for now... you should stay away from it.  <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think i will get rid of Yarrick he is mostly fun and yes a waste of points.
