				<title>Allocated Attacks Killing My Characters</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Okay.<br /> <br /> Finally played some games today. Used to play a few years ago, and there was some stuff we (Friends and people at the games club) simply didnt do. One was attack allocation. If you want to kill characters, issue a challenge. But the new people i play with allocate attacks like no-ones business! Picking off my poor defenceless Skaven <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span>. Also using impact hits <br /> <br /> I planned to use a Warlord on a Litter in my 2000pts list, so is there any way to stop this happening? Also with keeping the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span> alive? <br /> <br /> Thanks]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Allocating attacks is a fact of the game. The only way to keep it from happening is to issue a challenge of your own.<br /> <br /> Or just keep your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span> from getting into combat in the first place, which is what I recommend for the Skaven. Have him tag along in back, maybe in a minimum-sized bodyguard unit behind the main line of combatants. 20 Slaves actually work pretty well for this, since it's only a 40-point investment that adds a LOT of durability vs. shooting to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span>. Then just make darn sure to keep the unit out of the fight until absoloutely necessary.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ ok her is a trick.<br /> skaven  breaker unit 5 wide.<br /> full command with war litter in front rank.<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span> in second rank and in the middle will never get into combat. now take a rivial hide talisman and a distraction sheild for the war litte as well as a potion of inish and any alocation attacks against the warlord are goin to fall short. because the opponet will be wishing he was somewhere else. <br /> for added pain, make the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span> carry the banner of the underempire, and if the breaker unit is storm vernime give the standard bearer the banner of dripping death.<br /> at beginning of combat all enemy units take <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2d6</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 2 hits, and anything in base contact withthe standard takes a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 3 with no armour saves as well as takes a small beating if it presues the unit if you do manage to break it. (killed a HPA) in 2 rounds with this puppy as well as a tooled out <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> cold ones knight unit. just with the banner sin 3 rounds)<br /> <br /> now for added fun make sure you take 2 (yes 2) warp cannos and hit anything closing with  your breaker. also a neat trick is a bare nakkid warlock engineeer with just a plain ol  shrieking blade. ummmmm fear for the unit for 25 points... hide him like the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span>.<br /> <br /> this combo isnt as hard as it could be, its my friendly version and people learn really fast to either hit it hardest or leave it alone. either way. allocation is discouraged. as you can only target 3 things. rank and file, warlord for a headache, and a champ thats just in there to decline the first challange.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> edited: if they dont get the message from this combo not to allocate, pm me and i'll give you the nasty one that makes people role up into ball a and cry.]]></description>

It seems to me that the requirement to keep him in the front rank would take precidence and he's have to sit along side, or skew the warlitter off to the side a bit to let him in the front.<br /> <br /> And my suggestion would just be to buff him out with armor and wards if you want him on the front lines and keep him with a small bodyguard at the back as suggested if you want a magic banner instead.]]></description>

As said the only real way to protect him is to put him in the second rank or in a bunker unit <br /> <br /> ]]></description>
