Not only that if one did indeed have the technology to actually accomplish the nontrivial task of traveling through time, why would you still be using a cell phone instead of super-neural hyper-quantum, megaspace brain chips or something else as equally silly as a time-traveling silent film extra?

OT- that video sums up most of what I hate about Youtube videos. Takes forever to get to the fething point! Depends upon how good the historical records are in 'the future'. After all, if some catastrophe strikes, things can get muddled, and something simple as using a piece of technology not around for another 80 years could be simple. Or the travel device failed. Maybe charlie chaplain was just predicting the future. I love how our present perspective of how people acted through hand gestures and movement, position of the hands, ect. has led people to believe this person in the background of a movie has a cell phone.

In another 50 years or less, most people probably won't have a clue what our current cell phones look like. Original cell phones looked like bricks, now they usually look like flat rectangular things... kinda like a large deck of cards. My first thought when I saw this was "handkerchief" or "compress". Maybe the lady was supposed to be walking by complaining to herself how hot it was outside.

"Deary me it is warm. I am certainly glad I brought my handkerchief to wipe the sweat from my brow... Wow, now I'm talking to myself, standing for a second will help me collect my thoughts."
