I am not looking for an amazing list but something to have fun with. I love Zombies so I am leaning towards the Vampire Count army , but I hear Empire will be cheaper cost wise. If you guys can give me any input that would be great. I went to my local GW and the new manager there tried to sell me like $200 worth of stuff seriously thanks but no thanks. To sum up he was no help! So I turn to you for help, I am a 40k player that just loves to paint and has always wanted to try WH. Money is not really too much of an issue (not 200 bucks though) so fire away and help a "Newbie" out.

The cool thing is that you will have 20 zombies to raise in your game also.
The other nice thing about VC at this level is that you can always bring your guys back to life when they get killed, 1000 PTS and less games are more of a war of attrition than anything else. If you love the zombies stick with a VC army. At 500pts both armies are going to able to field a lot but with VC you can have some good fun with magic and ending a battle with more units on the table then what you deployed
