				<title>Imperial Guard 1000pts</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi All,<br /> <br />  The other half is looking to start a guard army. I came up with this from 2 Battleforces, An extra Command squad box and a Chimera. Any feedback appreciated as I only have the codex and some websites for ideas.<br /> <br />  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span>, Commander with Las Pistol, Medic, Vox-Caster, 1 Melta, 1 Plasma, Regimental Advisor (Not sure which one) in Chimera<br /> <br />  Troops 1 - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>, Power Wep, 3 x Grenade Launcher, Vox caster <br />                 20 x Guardsmen, Serg with Power Wep's<br />                 2 x Heavy Weapon Squad, Missile Launchers<br /> <br />  Troops 2 - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>, Power Wep, 3 x Grenade Launcher, Vox Caster<br />                 20 x Guardsmen, Serg with Power Wep's<br />                 Heavy Weapons Squad, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span>'s<br /> <br /> Fast Attack - 2 x Armoured Sentinel, Camo Netting, Smoke, Plasma Cannon.<br /> <br />   This comes out at exactly 1000pts and is relatively cheap to put together, but does it stand any chance on the table? Im not looking for something competative/tournament based, just playing friends for fun etc.<br /> <br />   Thanks in advance for any feedback,   WZ!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ On the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> spam one weapon you won't need the vox and the medic will only be good if you do plasama, as for regimental advisor, very niche models to have in a list. Get rid of voxes and spam weapons on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> i suggest flamers and throw them in chimeras.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Drop the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>PW</span> from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>.  That's not what they're meant for.<br /> <br /> You'll need a Commissar if you want to use your guard in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>; otherwise they'll be swept up and done before you know it.<br /> <br /> Drop the camo netting on the sentinels, drop the vox casters and the medic in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> and trick out your special weapons there.  Get something else besides a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(380);'>GL</span> for your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>, (either melta, plasma or a flamer depending on who you are playing.) they don't perform well.<br /> <br /> I'd also consider picking up Captain Al'rahem.  An entire outflanking platoon is ridiculously awesome.<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

In order to get 1 per blob, do I deploy my 20 infantry as a combined squad as per the codex with the commissar in the squad, or do I put 1 in each of my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>.<br /> <br />   Cheers!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hey WalmartZombie<br /> <br /> how's tricks?<br /> <br /> Ok here goes I agree with pretty much whta most people have said but here are a few pointers.<br /> <br /> Your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> there is generally speaking two ways to equip a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> (of course there are loads of variantions but i'm talking general terms here). Aggressively and Defensively.<br /> <br /> Agressive is when you give them something like 4 melta/plasma and a chimera and make the the most of the fact that they are 4 vets<br /> Defensive is when you give them support equipment, and is more geared towards the orders ability. Something like heavy weapons team and regimental standards.<br /> <br /> both have merits and it all depends on your play style. I persoanlly would avoid vox networks at lower points as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>IMHO</span> they are just not worth it and netwokrs get expensive quickly.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> these guys are a more rubbish version on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> so the above applies to them as well , with the following difference. If your going to spam specials use the cheap ones e.g. flamers or grenade launchers. I've had good results with 4 flamers in a chimera.<br /> <br /> Infantry blobs are very durable if you are going to add a commissar these are the guys to add it to. You might want to think about adding some specials into these squads as well. I try to avoid wasting any special weapon slots. Add some melta bombs and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>pw</span> on the commissar and you've got yourself a power blob. 30 is better than 20 but 20 is ok.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span> - I'm not a huge fan of these especially with missile launchers. They are to easy to kill and there leadership is too low. Missile launchers are expensive considering they are a jack of all trades 1 shot weapon. With <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> 3 they are going to miss half the time. I'd advise burying heavy weapons in squads to keep them alive but as you are limting your self to two battleforces I can see why you've got them.<br /> <br /> Armored Sentinels - I love my sentinels but to be honest they are a second string option, if your taking armored then <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>IMHO</span> you've armed them right Plasma cannons all the way, might want to think about dropping the camo cloaks and Smoke though. Good addition</div></blockquote><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(89);'>LRBT</span> arn't a bad choice but I wouldn't take the sponsons unless you play a lot of horder armies and then i'd still  try and spend the points else where. Problem is at 1500 your going to up against AV14 and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>SV</span> 2+ so melta and plamsa become more important.]]></description>

In Chimera<br /> <br /> 2 x <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> - Both with Plasma Pistol Officer, 2 guard with Melta, 2 guard with Flamer<br /> <br /> 2 x 20 Infantry Blobs - Serg with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>PW</span><br /> <br /> 3 x Heavy Wep Squads, 2 with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>ML</span>, 1 with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span>'s<br /> <br /> 2 x Armoured Sents, Plasma, Smoke Launchers.<br /> <br /> <br />  All in that comes to 1000 points on the nail. One of my friends recommended Scout Sent's due to outflank, possibly could change the armoured to Scouts and drop the Master of ordance to squeeze in some pimped up commisars for the blobs?<br /> <br />  In regards to the size of the infantry squads, I hope the xmas fairy will bring me some more models, so I will have more flexibility to field more troops etc <br /> <br />  Cheers for any input on the above list!! 				<description><![CDATA[ No worries,<br /> <br /> Guard can be tricky to get the hang off especially when people don't always appreciate a limited budget.<br /> <br /> I'd drop the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(373);'>MoO</span> he can't fire if you move and even when he does fire he'll miss most of the time. He only becomes worth it large point games where the board is so full of models he can't miss. I'd also drop the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(194);'>PP</span>'s especially on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>'s. There 1 wound models with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> 3 5+ armour they are going to kill themselves as much as the enemy and when they do your not only losing the orders they provide but taking a leadership hit.<br /> <br /> Also with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> it's best to spam the same weapons, so give one four flamers and one four meltas. The only time I take melta on a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>pcs</span> is when it got Al'rahem in it because he had <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(401);'>BiD</span>, I’d be worried about the low <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span>, it will be ok if you can keep them close to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> to get order though.<br /> <br /> I'd try and put some specials in the blobs even if its just grenade launchers and melta bombs are really handy. Without commissars these blobs are far less durable, I wouldn't recommend taking them without commissars. I nearly cried the first time my 20 man blob lost combat by 4 and then was run down. Commissars make blobs especially assault blobs.<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>
