I went with eGaspy/eDenny and suuuuuucked. Kept making mistakes. Maybe I should've had more than like 3 hours sleep. =p

Regardless, I'm gonna learn to play eSkarre. I've had like 5 games with her and she's pretty tough to use right. I'm used to the Causic Mist crutch, or relying on 14" Shadowbind.

So primary 35, I'm thinking:

eSkarre
Satyxis Captain
Skarlock Thrall (or Gorman di Wulfe?)
10 Raiders, Sea Witch
10 Nyss Hunters
Deathjack
Ripjaw
=25

I was going to take Nightmare over the Nyss.. but my local metagame is basically all weaponmaster infantry. Lots of Cryx. Lots of Legion. The list is build on eSkarre's spell list... abusing Perdition with Deathjack. =D

So
a) List advice, including complimentary caster- I'm leaning towards eDenny.
b) Discuss eSkarre against certain casters. eThagrosh (Shredderspam), Saeryn, eDenny, Old Witch, eVlad.

For two points I'd suggest a Warwitch or Necrosurgeon.

Necrosuregeon is also as olid choice- but there's no points free. Gorman is too nuts not to use when I can spend focus to heal. I prefer to play balls out. lol.

And Spellbound's hit the nail on the head. Gorman helps with two weaknesses of the army. a) low MAT, b) high ARM.. and there's also c) smoke clouds to protect eSkarre.

I'm debating just running a Nightwretch and 3 Scrap Thralls over the Ripjaw. He's in my list to Arc spells. I can't Arc in combat. Kinda defeats the purpose of taking him. And at M7, he'll be in it all the time. Raiders also don't suffer damage from Death Burst.

The Warwitch is always useful, a real toolbox solo, just like Di Wolfe. She'd play well with the Arc node and she's great against low ARM solos and small units with her spray. Both are good. The Necrosurgeon is a waste with eSkarre in this list. Avoid unless you have McThralls. pSkarre with McThralls and a Necrosurgeon is another matter...

I'd go with Nightwrech, Necrotech and a Scrap Thrall over a Nightwretch and 3 Scrap Thralls. The Necrotech can keep your Warjacks in good shape and make more Scrap Thralls. That is how I would run her at 35 points, let me get into why I made some of the switches I did:

-First off, you want to focus on getting as many casts as possible of Perdition. The lower focus requirement on Seether combined with your Skarlock will help ensure you get your two beaters stuck in as fast as possible.
-You are not taking advantage of (in my opinion) her greatest spell: Black Spot. A defiler hitting a unit with black spot basically can make it disappear. This also helps shore up some of your anti-infantry shortcomings.

I think that will give you the meanest list possible at 35 points (as in, not going to make many friends with it). The only thing I really add to get to 50 is another Seether (or Malice), Defiler and a 2 point solo (Gorman or another Captain).

I gave it a shot tonight, in lieu of the list I was going to take.

I lost- but it's my own fault. Forgot my feat on a crucial turn and botched my deployment a bit. If I'd have remembered the feat- it would've been over pretty quickly.

Reason I forgot my feat- I was pulling Perdition tricks to get Deathjack into melee with Behemoth. Left Behemoth with 6 boxes left- one army crippled, the other with one point.

His list however, is really strong I feel. I'm going to continue testing it as-is, no changes.

I took advantage of Black Spot. It was nuts on an infantry unit. Turns out you can "go off" with Black Spot and Reaper on multi-wound units too.

Warmachine at local clubs is about winning. The struggle. I tend to play with the better players in my area- they have the same attitude. I've got 2nd and 3rd in my last three events. The ability to shove invincible heavies into people's faces is ridiculously good, especially considering perdition is one of the very few spells in MkII that allows out-of-activation movement.

pSkarre I think works better with mcThralls, Satyxis, DJ, couple arcnodes, and a couple helldrivers. Whereas epic prefers a mix of helljacks and infantry, while running a denial feat.

I don't understand what you mean by "that would do with pSkarre" ... do you mean beating or using the list with?
