Ive got the colour scheme picked out after doing a fair bit of scheme ideas and the kind of things id like my army to specialise in. Im going to write the fluff and stuff then after xmas i'm going to buy the SM battleforce and use that as the jumping off point for my new army.

Personally I'm looking at basing my army around typical SM stats, although I'll be making a few small changes based on the fluff that I'm thinking of coming up with. I assume I'd need to come up with a custom chapter logo and other things like that.

But i was really wondering what kind of things you need to come up with. I'm guessing it would end up with me writing a new codex at the very most and relisting stats, abilities and point costs, but iv'e got a few ideas for a nice little fluff story I can make.

I am also trying to think how to come up with how to make my hero character. Either by taking an existing special marine model and mixing up the parts and weapons with a few extras to make it more "hero-esque".
