With DE...just my opinion...we have 'reliable' rumors that we are getting 4 more plastic kits and more metal characters. These all will be out by June-ish.

GW seems to be working on a quarterly schedule.

So in business speak - that means we have two QTR's of releases. Assuming there are no production issues and everything is ready...I'd imagine we'll see a DE release in 1st QTR...meaning February/March (my bet is March)...and another release 2nd QTR...so June as it fufills the original rumor. I have heard that it is going:
January- Skaven
Feburary- Blood Angles
March- Orcs and Goblins
April- Dark Eldar Definatly
July- Inquisition (witch Hunters and Daemon Hunters As One Army)
Isn't some of this contrary to what is now considered the conventional wisdom on upcoming releases, specifically for Grey Knights? Also, the word "definitely" is misspelled with an "a" in it and the word "angels" is misspelled multiple times in this thread as "angles".

Necrons are indeed in a way the new Dark Eldar in that based on how their current Codex is designed there will be a MAJOR overhaul of their book and a lot more plastic minis coming down the road. With the substantive effort required to bring that range and book up to current standards I wouldn't expect it to be done quickly. Pah! I want decent Night Runners/Gutter Runners, a Rat Ogre kit to match the ones in the Island of Blood, new Giant Rats and Plague Monks/Plague Censer Bearers that look like the current range. GW do start giving little hints and bits of info months before new models are released for different systems. Whilst these might not have a concrete date on it still makes people aware that new models are on their way and by your reasoning would then devalue the current ranges as people would wait for the new releases. GW want people to be aware that new stuff is coming so to create as much hype around it as possible so that they actually sell come release day. If a new range of models is being released then chances are that the current range is on it's last legs anyway and are not selling. If they were to just release models without any news or hype beforehand then they wouldn't sell nearly as many.
