I know a few folks who've used these guys in the past for Battletech custom decals. you can e-mail them and see what they say. There is of course the fact that you can buy decal paper for your home printer (Antenociti's Workshop sells it). - Expect to have to paint around the edges a bit to obscure the excess, even for clear paper. I mostly use white decal paper and then paint the edges because it produces more vibrant colors and I don't have interior holes in my decals.

- The paper is kind of expensive. It's reasonably priced all by itself, but most places I saw selling it have shipping rates that while typical and reasonable, basically double the price of getting a pack of sheets.

- It might just be my pack, but I've had a serious degradation in quality as I've gone on. I feel like the sheets themselves are aging or something, producing wrinkleish artifacts on the decals. The first couple prints were pristine. 1. Print on clear/laser transfer paper.
2. Paint white on the area where I am going to put the transfer.
3. Use Microsol and Microset to position and flatten down the transfer.
4. When dry, varnish over with gloss acrylic.
5. Weathering.
6. Final varnish layer is spray matt or satin, as appropriate.

I do use MicroSol & MicroSet, but the weird artifacts I get are actually on the printed sheet itself, right after coming out of the printer. Again, could be a printer issue (dirty heads or something), but other material seems fine, as were the original sheets I printed. I just assumed that the decal paper had either started breaking down over time, or the chemicals had rubbed off a bit, or something like that. I used these guys. They did the 1st Cav and branch insignia decals I used on my marines.







They were decent to work with and I found the price/product was great.
