				<description><![CDATA[ I thought I may have seen this already posted elsewhere but maybe not.<br /> <br /> I was curious if anyone has tried this or knows a good tactic but out of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(35);'>FA</span>, and whatever else in the imperial guard would be best to attempt to destroy a ton of my foe's army in the first shooting phase?<br /> <br /> For <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span>, would a manticore and some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(91);'>LRMBT</span> squads be suitable or double the manticore and add something else?<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(35);'>FA</span>; would a squad of 2 vendetta work best along with a squad with 2 valks for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span>/AI?<br /> <br /> Also, is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(373);'>MoO</span> worth it? The scatter amount seems brutal.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ manticore's are amazing things and when you really want to take something <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 14 down turn 1 they do a great job I try to run 2x manticore and 1 LRBTw/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>hb</span>,<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>hb</span> spons<br /> <br /> for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(35);'>FA</span> I run 3 Vendettas<br /> <br /> My <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> is always moving w. 4 plasma guns and a pistol no time to stop for someone who more than likely will wiff]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ too easy.  with manticores and vendettas and 1st turn, scout your vendettas for side armor shots, drop off plasma/melta vets, pop transports, drop some 3x D3 S10 pie plates, and mop up with vets who jumped out of the birds.]]></description>

Thanks guys for the information.<br /> <br /> More questions pertaining to this is:<br /> Would a team of 2 valks be of any use or best left at home? Also should I add the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HB</span> sponsons onto the Vendettas or does that prove to be a waste in points most of the time? <br /> <br /> If I have a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(91);'>LRMBT</span>, should I pair it with another MBT or a different variant like a Punisher or Demolisher to get up close? I understand punishers can be risky business at times but with the chance of the ordnance not doing its job and nor the heavy bolters, the gatling can attempt to help with covering it and so can another ordnance. Would Pask be prominent and a good use of points or just screw him?<br /> <br /> Thanks for the help!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ What your pertaining to is commonly called the 'alpha-strike' list. Whilst this list has the potential to do a *ton* of damage if you get 1st turn, its very quickly nullified if your opponent steals the initiative/goes in reserve/gets first turn himself. <br /> <br /> My advice would be to avoid tailoring a list to smash the enemy turn 1. Not only does this make the game last longer, but you're not as reliant upon dice as you would be if you had opted for the alpha-strike. If your looking at playing in tournaments then I guess I can't deny its effectiveness, but you'll quickly run out of gaming partners when it takes longer to set up the table and deploy than to actually play the game.<br /> <br /> L. The scatter amount seems brutal.</div></blockquote><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>Ig</span> doesn't need the ai fire from valks, but vendettas are a steal.<br /> <br /> The large scatter from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(373);'>moo</span> is bad in small games, but in larger games he will hit something.  2 of them is a great buy in 2500 point games, just aim for something in the middle of a bunch of enemy units.]]></description>
