Looks solid to me. You could drop one of the chariots, give your Lvl 4 the Book of Hoeth, and flesh out your swordmasters a bit more.

Only real suggestions I'd have.

looks pretty solid, prehaps try a few practise games first and then adapt your army to fit it, especially if theres one army you fight more than others also consider giving your lv4 a seerwood staff, it allows you to pick the spells you use, and can be very useful for your tactics

Shadow for the debuffs is very nice, I've found. Add T with Life, lower S on opponants with Shadow, and you're in business. An orc is a sad orc that has issues wounding elves.

Also, grats for not relying on Teclis the Crutch. The army is strong enough without him, and yours looks good. Less manuverability than I'd prefer, but still pretty sharp.

2250 High Elves

Leith wrote:pull the sea guard into one unit

I agree here as well. If you put all 40 together in the same unit, you'd save yourself 25 points, and then be able to add another 2 for 26 points, putting your total at 2249.

Personally though, if you do decide to do that, I would use Spearmen instead. You could field a lot more, and they have the exact same stat line and defenses. Only difference is that you'd be paying 4 more points per model for a Bow. In my experience, I've come to see and realize that unless your list is mostly "shooty", the shooting aspects of the game are less effective. You do have two Repeater Bows, which would cover a wide range of the board, but being so far behind the rest of your army, you'll be shooting through quite a bit of cover.

I also recommend giving your Archmage the Silver Wand instead. Staff of Solidity is nice, but it only works once (at least that's how I'm interpreting it from the way it's written). Having a 5th spell would work better, and your chance of getting to choose a spell you want are considerably higher as well. I think you'd be better off giving him a Talisman that'll give him a Ward Save instead. I would also invest in a Banner of Sorcery. Having two mages to split an average of 7 Magic Dice is a pretty low ratio. Another D3 will add more than you think. Even when I run only 1 Archmage, I find having the Banner of Sorcery to be a great asset. Now I'm almost guaranteed to be able to cast at least 3 spells a turn now.

Lastly, Great Eagles would be a worthwhile investment too. Having Chariots is nice, but with a Flyer on the table, you can cover more distance and have a better chance of disrupting enemy units better.

Good luck!

sea guard are much better than archers and spearmen because they do both of their jobs. if you keep them as two hordes of 20 they will be very effective. a big block of seamen will only put a target on your head.

next, drop a bolt thrower for 12 more swordmasters and more seamen. then drop whichever item is givin an extra spell, it is not worth it to me.

2250 High Elves

Well, the point Benshin is making is that the Seaguard only need to do one job in this list, so you might as well have more of them for less.

I'd suggest bulking out the Guard s'more, since they seem to be the most capable of both killin' and not dyin'; they can be your anvil.
If you go with one unit of 40 spear-elves of some kind, though, maybe that would be unnecessary.
Finally, instead of increasing the size of the Sword Masters, might I suggest splitting them up into two smaller units, in hopes that one of them will survive long enough to get into combat?
