I dumped 'em in a tub of Super Clean literally a month ago. The old painted ones scrub off pretty well, but I have to really work at it and pick out paint from the details with an exacto knife later (I'm sure this paint's been on them for years). Anyway, that's all well and good.

The problem is that I have these other models that have some sort of green primer on them that barely flake even after a month of soaking, and after scrubbing my hardest. Does anyone have any clue what this product is, or why it's so hard to clean it off?

Any suggestions? Would it be terrible to just prime over this green crap?
