Hi at all... really i would like some advice about these models... these 5 are my first minis ever painted....soooo i'm quite a noob in this world!
do you like them or not? What should i do to have the models less dirty and with an homogeneous color passage from dark red to blazing orange?

I really like the idea of space hulk
the space marines painted with a warm color - Red ...against units painted with a cold color - Blue

I forgot to tell you on the other thread just how good you actually are. The blood drop on the leg with the feathers is just spot on. As for the transitions... maybe Vallejo Glaze Medium, and a neutral red/the same red you used? It would create a wash that would keep the original colour, and tie the darker and lighter ones with it. Vallejo is a brand of colors or what? I'm really impressed when i see http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m70182a_SH_Terminator4XL.jpg these kind of transitions... i mean... i know that they are painter from the eavy metal, but omg..
How they are able to use the color like this?

i did 3/4 washes and 3 passage of highlighting from base red (that it is a foundation color) to vomit brown... as i saw on the web page of gameworkshop...
but maybe i should pass more time on steps

Really i know that it sound stupid but i just copied it from the GW site painting guide And i sweared a lot against those feathers... i washed them 2 times to hide my errors

yes, they are my first minis, i tried to copy exactly and follow the step by step guides on the GW site... i always liked the world of warhammer 40k but i have never been really into it..

A common method for good transitions is put a midtone of your colour over everything then work on highlights and shading with thinned paint. When you're pretty much done thin your midtone colour right down to a glaze and go over the whole area. I'll try to work more on the midtone colour and shades...
I was simply thinking that the model looks great after a wash...i mean the texture.. it really helps to smooth all the transitions and removes the glossy effect.
