The wind riders: Eldar army in progress!

Hi, just starting a painting blog for "the lolz", I'm more of a gamer than painter, but recently I have actually bothered to paint my Eldar models!

Brief fluffiness before I begin:

The Wind Riders (If anyone knows how to translate this into Eldar, tell me please ), are a off-shot of the Saim-hann craftworld, they are a small strike force used to attack small settlements and scout the cosmos. They support Saim-Hann in most of their conflicts, though are not entirely loyal, and will only help if it benefits themselves. There are at constant war with the Space Wolves of Fenris, after a minor disgreement over territory escalated into a huge conflict. The Puppies always show up to support colonies that are being raided by the riders and ruin their jolly fun! The Wind Riders share Saim-Hann's love of fast skimmers, but also have many elite aspect warriors in their command. They ride into battle in Blue and white colours, to respect the howling wind!

Anyway, here's my models so far:

Pathfinders

These were the first 40k models I'd ever painted, that's why they're not great! Been meaning to re-do them but I haven't found the time! They are (Like most of my guys) coloured in Enchanted Blue and Skulll White, with the guns in boltgun.

Fire Prism

This is the first vehicle I bought for my army. I undercoated at with chaos black spray paint, then painted it in blue and white, leaving the underside black. Then I used some orange paint I had lying around to paint the crystal. The orange was thin and crappy, but It gave a decent effect. I tried to scratch some markings and failed miserably so I just used the transfers!

Farseer

My first attempt at shadowing and highlighting, I didn't follow any tut's and just worked from common sense, didn't work out that good, I'm fairly happy with it though.

Dire Avengers + Exarch

My latest and best work so far. Did the usual blue and white, with a touch of Burnished Gold on the helmets and Elf Flesh for the Exarch. Might go back and highlight these these once I get better.

As I said I'm more of a gamer than a painter, but I'm enjoying it and would like to improve. Apart from "HIGHLIGHT YOUR DAMN MODELS" (Believe me, I know that), any suggestions of techniques or tutorials etc I should try are welcome

Maybe just spend a little bit more time on details like the gems on the armor. Maybe paint the guns a different color. Leaving them black makes it look unfinished IMO.

For not being a painter, they're not badly done. Just need some practice and a few tweaks.
