Let me make sense of what I'm blabbering about. I like the bulking of the body, the work is seamless, a really masterpiece, but the rupture cannon? No, it looks pretty tacked on, and looks like it's coming out the fex's chin. Maybe it's just the angle, but it really doesn't do it for me.

That's great news because if you look at the picture in the Tyranid Codex the cannon is coming out of the monster's lower jaw and is supported pretty much like I built it. I deliberately built my conversion to be as close to the picture in the Codex Tyranids as I could get it. I know it is, and I'm not knocking you for it, for as I've previously stated, I think it's a lovely conversion. What I am trying to say however, is it seems to be hanging below the chest, kinda making it look like the 'fex has a metal pipe stuck on his chin, more than a bioweapon intergrated into its body.
Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, that gap came up when I was getting feedback just before painting began and I also had been thinking about what to do about it. In the end I added some hoses just before painting started, but they don't show in the work-in-progress photo. If you look carefully in the photo of the finished project, though it's hard to see, there are hoses connecting the back of the gun to the chest. I decided in this one case, unlike the illustration in the book, that hoses looked better than just plugging in the gap with solid bulk. A friend suggested them while we were discussing the problem and I loved the idea. It worked out quite well I think. Thanks for the interest in the project.
