Heavily Converted Delaque Gang

So, me and my friends have decided to do a bit of necromunding, I always liked the Delaque gang and the matrixy style of them, but I never really like the models. Their cloaks looked a bit fat and weird (I say that but mine are podging up a bit) I've been looking for a while now, and I couldn't find anyone who has completely converted the cloaks, so I thought I'd give it a bash. Before I started this I hadn't use greenstuff, at all. I can now see why I couldn't find anyone who converted the cloaks from scratch since its annoyingly fiddly. Still Here's what I have so far, all built with Catachans and Green stuff, once it all gets more updated, I'll use, other, various bits and bobs.

All the models need finishing, with GS and what not, but its just to give you an idea of what I'm going for, and to see what other people think, since it is my first time using G. Thanks for looking, any C&C welcome! (Also I apologize for the quality of the photos, only have a crappy, camera atmo, but, what can you do ey?)

This is the most finished one, still needs his lasgun and his arms finishing, The creases in the back initially were there by accident, but I noticed they looked like creases in a leather coat, which is what I was going for, so I emphasised them a bit.

This one's going to be my Gang leader, Cloaks playing up a bit, but, I want him to have the "I'm standing infront of a wind tunnel" look

And lastly, this will be one of my heavy's, equipped with a heavy stubber. Didn't notice all the 'bits' on him when I took the picture, there gone now .

Re:Heavily Converted Delaque Gang

Looks interesting, and as I've just started fiddling with trenchcoats and robes in gs most timely. The folds and creases in that first one are pretty cool I've been playing with rolling the gs onto plastic sheeting, letting it cure a little bit, then applying it in two or three pieces, back and left & right front, pulling of the plastic once it's fully cured. The plastic sheet means you get a nice smooth finish and can help a bit with the shaping, as I found by accident

Nice tips thanks guys
Will try and remember that when ever I get around to my guys.

What sort of plastic do you use
okay I should rephrase that cos it will be thin plastic sheeting.

Wonder if silicon would do the trick
Have some covers for a miniscule gameboy console they were selling off cheapo at a Game store. I only wanted the polishing cloths

Cheers for the tips. I do find that its the smoothness of the cloaks which annoy me most, so Ill try, doing it in parts.

Do you reckon somthing like cling film would work, or is that what you meant anyway?

Re:Heavily Converted Delaque Gang

I actually used an old zip-loc type bag that some mini's had arrived in. I'd guess thaty cling-film probably wouldn't hold the shape/smoothness quite so well, but not sure. I'd reccomend looking at some of Ailaros' stuff, see how he built up his coats, I hurried the rest of that coat and it went a bit meh.

Heavily Converted Delaque Gang

You would have to stretch the cling film to get it smooth which would increase the risk of tearing, I would imagine

The ziplock bags sounds a better option. recently bought some.

Re silicon, numpty here is typing on it.
Have a couple of keyboard protectors and will be better than the cover I mentioned as they are thinner.
