				<description><![CDATA[ I'm kinda new to warhammer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>, although i have read allot about it before i started collectig, and my older brother is really good at it. Could you tell me ways to improve my army list? I've won loads of battles, but i want to see what you think...<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: <br /> Warboss with powerfist<br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> 30 a'rd boys with sluggas and choppas (3 with big shootas) and a nob with a powerclaw and waaagh! banner<br /> 11 ork boys with shootas (1 with rokkit launcha) and a nob with powerclaw<br /> 10 grots with a rutherd<br /> 10 grots with a rutherd<br /> 10 grots with a rutherd<br /> <br /> Heavy support:<br /> Battlewagon with ard' case, killakannon, grabbin klaw, 2 rokkit launchas, armour plates, reinforced ram, and 4 big shootas<br /> Deff Dread with 4 dreadnaght close combat weapons and armour plates<br /> <br /> Fast attack:<br /> 3 ork warbikes with nob with big choppa<br /> <br /> Elites:<br /> 5 nobs with big choppas<br /> 5 burna boys<br /> <br /> <br /> tactics: The thirty hard boys are the shock troops, running towards the enemy troops, tearing them appart with 90 strength 5 attacks, able to take down a squad of sm quickly. the other ten boys shoot at a distants at the enemy. The thirty grots also run ahead on a suicide mission to keep any of the opposing army threats ocupied in close combat. if there are no threats, the will get to cover and shoot at the enemy. The all the elites and warboss pile into the battlewagon, which will drop the of in the hick of battle before ramming enemy tanks, if the enemy attempts to attack the tank, the burnas will unload and attack with their power weapons. if there is nobody to ram, the battlewagon will hurry back and start firing its killakannon. the ork bikes will speed ahead of the army, killing elites.<br /> <br /> What do you think?<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ At first glance the battlewagon is illegal. You can only take 4 pintle weapons, not 6 like you have. The sluggas are also illegal, theres no way that they can take a waagh banner in the unit. That said, this list really has no focus, and I'm sorry to say, would be very easy for an experienced player to beat. My advice would be as follows. Find a focus for the army. Do you want a tide of boyz to swamp the enemy, or just massed fast vehicles to get the boyz into combat quickly? Once you've picked your idea, make a list that follows it. I don't think it's unreasonable, from reading "my older brother is really good at it" that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span> is probably a younger player.   3 boxes of kans and 3 (or 4) boxes of lootas is going to cost $200 at least.  Add another 5 boxes of boyz that were recommended, and we're talking over $300.  <br /> <br /> I dunno, I'm of the opinion that if someone asks for help with a list and says that they've got a battlewagon and some warbikes, that perhaps the best advice isn't to come up with a list that has none of those things and instead requires the expenditure of a lot of money.<br /> <br /> Based on what he's already got, I'd think that the best money he could spend would be on a mek with a forcefield, and a trukk or two, to get those other boyz and nobs into the fight faster.]]></description>

While the example list is good it doesn't exactly fill what's already there, however, you do not know the financial sitauation of the poster and if they're are young, for all you know that could have won the lotter!]]></description>

Unless he is going to buyat least 4 trukks they are a waste I think. That's just me though (and most if not all ork players). If you are going by cost EBAY EBAY EBAY. Boys are dirt cheap ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the help, i just re-read the codex and re-did the list (so it isnt illegal). I just picked up a big mek with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span>. Anyway, i'm only fourteen, so i don't have a big budget, but i just got an job as a paperboy, with an monthly pay of 150$. The mek is really affective, and i hope to get a trukk for my birthday.]]></description>

A Cybork body, at least, will help out with some of the damage he takes.   You also have to decide how he gets to the fight.  If he's running with 30 boyz (and only 30), there's a good chance that they'll get shot up before they get there. The unit of 11+slaver's job is to hide if possible, or distract the opponent. That means you can't assault out of it and probably don't need to get up close to your opponent with it.  It wouldn't be a bad bunker for the grots if you cut their numbers down (18 grots, 1 herder) - and it would mean that the battlewagon could control an objective.  If the big mek joins this unit, he can project his forcefield from the hull of this tank, and protect it as well.<br /> <br /> I'd lose the grabbing klaw - there's no reason for this wagon to get that close to your enemy.<br />  <br /> <blockquote class="uncited"><div><br /> Deff Dread with 4 dreadnaght close combat weapons and armour plates <br /> </div></blockquote><br /> <br /> Quite serviceable.<br /> <br /> <blockquote class="uncited"><div><br /> Fast attack: <br /> 3 ork warbikes with nob with big choppa <br /> </div></blockquote><br /> <br /> If you still have the parts, cut the big choppa off the nob and give him a powerklaw.   There is no reason, ever, to have a nob leading a unit without a powerklaw.  Also, give him a bosspole, as with a powerklaw, he can do some decent damage by himself, if he's not running away.<br /> <br /> <blockquote class="uncited"><div><br /> Elites: <br /> 5 nobs with big choppas <br /> 5 burna boys <br /> </div></blockquote><br /> <br /> <br /> And, here are the odd men out...<br /> <br /> 5 burna boyz or 5 nobs are just targets.  They're fairly dangerous, so your opponent will want them dead, but they're hard to protect.  These are the weak links in the army as you have it now.<br /> <br /> I'd recommend buying a box of nobs and another trukk.   Build the other nobs so that you get at least three powerklaws, give one a waaagh banner, one a bosspole, and one a kombi-skorcha.  And, if possible, do some sort of conversion to make one into a dok.   Give them cybork bodies, and another trukk, and let the warboss ride into battle with them, and you'll have a unit that can really hit hard.  And, because you've got the warboss, you can make them troops instead of elites, and they can also score objectives.<br /> <br /> As for the burna boyz, they're a hard unit to make work right.   Ideally, you have a good number of them and ride them in an open-topped battlewagon, so you can ride up and hit enemies with a lot of templates, or charge with a lot of power weapon attacks.  You might consider leave them on the sidelines until you can buff them up like that.]]></description>
