				<description><![CDATA[ Been thinking of trying to add a Hellhound into my current list, but an not sure if it a tactically viable option or if I should get some other unit to fill the void like another Valk or Leman Russ. I'd really like to add the hellhound to my list mainly b/c it's lacking any kind of anti-horde and I like the idea of throwing around a flame template. The idea behind the Grenade vets is to pick at the enemy at range with heavy stubber and their small blast template since I think I can use those as defensive weapons if I move the vehicle. I like using my stormtroopers as special unit hunters and for the most part usually earn their points back. Let me know what you think. Is the hellhound a good addition or should I just add another melta-vet squad in a valk with MRPs? And if it isn't a good addition, what would be a good way to add it in?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I have found through countless trial and mostly error that guard vehicles do poorly with upgrades (other than whats free) and storm troopers do poorly in anything more than 5 models, they cost as much as a stock marine, with the stats of a 10 point vet with a slightly better gun, so i would drop all vehicular upgrades and the extra stormies in favor of maybe a manticore or something (also, swap the plasmas in one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(171);'>STs</span> for meltas, for one it gives you tactical flexibility, and keeps you from having to buy twice as many spcl weap storm troopers. also: drop a vet sqaud and take another <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span>, cheaper with 1 more gun option. Dump their chimeras' heavy stubbers and like a plasma pistol or gun from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> for points.<br /> <br /> I'd keep the heavy bolter sponsons on the vendettas though. It's 20 points to make 2 expensive vehicles have anything to do if hordes come by.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

Against a horde 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> shots and 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HB</span> shots are far better than just 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> shots I'd say.]]></description>

You've then got heavy bolters you haven't used majority of the game for just to get a couple of shots in later for a turn or two and for that reason I don't think they're worth it on a Vendetta. I used to take meltabombs on my blobs all the time for exactly this reason.<br /> <br /> Against the kinds of armies I bring, for example, there is generally VERY little for a vendetta to do. It's 130 points of waste. Same is true against green tide and to a lesser extent certain tyranid builds. With the heavy bolters, you're spending 140 points, but you're actually giving the chance for the unit to be somewhat useful against certain army types that vendettas will do little against. Not a terrible waste of 10 points at all, especially when it can be difficult to figure out how to spend a few extra points at the end of a mech list.<br /> <br /> Plus, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HB</span>'s aren't ALWAYS bad synergy either. They help vs. AV10, lower-toughness monstrous creatures like demon princes, and low-toughness good <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>Sv</span> targets like terminators.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>
