6mm Civil War images.

First images from the Regiments that my friend and I are working on. He is doing the Confederate forces, and I am working on the Union.

Close up of a stand for each of the regiments.

In the background, is a terrain piece that was also worked on. First actual one that I have ever really crafted. It is suppose to be of a small orchard on a hill. Again, for 6mm

A close up of Said Piece!

And finally! A Stand of Trees done using a particular method for creating Forest Bases. The link for the walk-through will follow the pictures

Without its Top!

Finished! Show and Tell is over! I hope to eventually have more pictures and a pictures of our completed board along with the complete Civil War Armies. Our next goal is to finish an entire Brigade of Infantry, which will be made up of four Infantry Regiments and an Artillery Attachment!

Hope you enjoyed!

Btw, here is the link for the Forest PDF!

http://www.architectsofwar.com/Howto/forests.pdf

Very nice! Where are those minis from? They look like pretty detailed sculpts for 6mm. Is there a particular ruleset you're planning on using them for?

They are Adler Miniatures

http://home.clara.net/adlermin/

And they are very detailed for their scale. The paint jobs that we did do not do them justice to what Im sure could be done.

As for Rule sets, right now we are using Black Powder, with adjusting the distances & measurements as far as movement and range. We may look for others, but we found these rules and they are pretty good for all forms of warfare in the age of muskets!

http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/?page_id=3177

I love the terrain. I reckon your Union troops could do with a wash or dip to bring out the detail.

Baccus 6mm have a nice tutorial on painting 6mm figures and applying a brown ink wash.

I have an unfinished Adler French Napoleonic army. Unfortunately my eyesight is bad enough now that I will never finish them. I'll have to send them away to be painted.

What rules are you using?
