				<title>Open topped ordanance?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I was playing one of my fellow ork players the other day. I fired my killa kanon at his trukk with his warboss and his nob bodyguard. I was wondering " If they were all standing there and I blew up the back wouldn't it land on someone riding in the back?" 				<description><![CDATA[ easy orks are pretty much suicidal in their mechanic designs, so a giant cannon on top of a large vehicle that can run over people effectively while bringing the boyz over to the enemy is gold to them. nobody cares if there are casualties or setbacks aslong as they get to kill.]]></description>

However, like Exergy said, its easier now, and keeps transports balanced.<br /> <br /> edit: Thinking about it, though, I recall some stories some of my friends told me when i was going for my Master's. One guy in particular was with 3rd <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>ID</span> when they made their "Thunder Run" into Baghdad. His story was seeing Iraqi APCs get hit by the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(252);'>KE</span> penetrators fired by Abrams tanks. What would happen is the round would go in one side of the APC, out the other, create a vaccum in the APC, and suck out the passengers through a hole a few inches wide. Turn them into mush. It might be in the "Thunder Run" book. Dunno.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think the best way to handle it is to make the destroyed: explodes result more dangerous, rather than making it a 50/50 chance or anything like that.  Possibly have anybody inside the transport when it exploded take a hit from the weapon that did the job.  (open topped vehicles grant cover saves).<br /> <br /> Keeps transports from being death traps, but at the same time makes them a calculated risk.]]></description>

I mean, at least the Marines have the excuse of their armor, but when a Chimera blows up (likely to be a bigger boom thanks to the ammo for the multilaser and heavy bolter/flamer stored on board), and about half of them will end up standing in the crater, ready to fight! I am all in favor of making transports more death trappish then they are now....there is a reason real infantry disembark from their transports when they're fighting. ]]></description>
