GW does sell the Carnosaur by itself for $35, but if the shop you're shopping at has a decent discount you might as well just get the regular version.

Probably see if you can find a decent toy dinosaur to replace it. The alternative might involve converting and bulking up Cold Ones and it's not really worth the effort.

Alternatively you could buy the lord on Carnosaur box from a discount store or something. I'd say Maelstrom, but they don't appear to have much Lizardmen stuff around. I guess you could try ebay.

As for ordering one from a store online try to go UK. Depending on shipping, if you get it from the US it will cost the same as buying it here, yet take an extra week or two to actually arrive.

As for a toy dino not being good enough for GW, you just need to put some Lizardman bits on it. The boxes come with tons of the things. The general rule I've always seen and heard is that at least 75% of the model has to be made from GW material for it to be considered legal. I do think it will vary depending on the tournament organisers.
