Vocaloid

For those fans of Vocaloid here, I got bored the other day, and so wrote these rules for my favourate: Miku Hatsune.

I haven't come up with a points cost yet, so if you guys could help me out on that front. If I come up with any more Vocaloid's profiles, I'll post them here as well. Comments are welcome.
Miku Hatsune

WS	BS	S	T	W	I	A	Ld	Sv
2	3	3	3	3	3	2	10	4+*

Wargear:
Negi: Miku's weapon of choice. A single-handed close-combat weapon. Such is Miku skill with the Negi, that she may re-roll to hit with it. Any armour saves taken against it suffer a -2 modifier. Any invulnerable saves suffer a -1 modifier.

Black Rock Shooter: A ranged weapon gifted to her by her other-world self, with the following profile: Range: 24"	Strength: 6	AP: 5	Assault 1, D6" Blast
When Miku fires the Black Rock Shooter, she must test for song disruption as detailed below. The Black Rock Shooter may also reconfigure into a sword. If Miku did not fire the Black Rock Shooter in her previous shooting phase, she may use it in close combat as a one-handed close-combat weapon, which attacks at strength 6. It may be used with the Negi to claim twin-weapon bonus for either weapon, but all attacks count as being made with one weapon or the other. The weapon must be stated before the first of Miku's blows is struck. If Miku is locked in combat, she may not reconfigure the Black Rock Shooter, and therefore, if she enters combat within one turn of firing it, she may not use it until the combat ends. It is assumed that if she can, she automatically reconfigures the weapon upon assaulting or being assaulted.

Armour Plating: Before entering the combat zone, Miku's body was reinforced. She has a 4+ armour save, and does not suffer instant death from a weapon with strength double her toughness or higher, unless that weapon would inflict instant death for other reasons. (Note: In Apocalypse, strength D weaponry will inflict instant death on her.)

Special Rules:
Black Rock's Training: As well as a weapon, Miku received extensive training from her double. After any other save, Miku may make a 4+ dodge save. This counts as a cover save in every respect except it may not be altered by any means, and may be used in close-combat. Miku may never use this in conjunction with feel-no-pain if she is granted it, as she forced to dodge the blows too fast for a medic to be able to help her. Any weapon which ignores cover saves will ignore this save.

VOCALOID: If Miku is within 2" of another model or unit with 'VOCALOID' special rule, they may join together as a squad. In all other respects, Miku counts as a unit in her own right, and not an independent character. As such, she may not join any squad without 'VOCALOID,' and is not subject to any rules that apply specifically to independent characters.

Singer: At the beginning of each of her turns, Miku may select a song to sing from the list below, the effects are retained until she next chooses a song, or fails a song disruption test.

When Miku sings a song, she may be called on to take a song disruption test. This happens if:
She fires Black Rock Shooter.
She is wounded.
She is in a close-combat with a non-vehicle or a walker-type vehicle (only one test per turn).
She is hit by 10 shots in one shooting phase (a second is taken at 20, a third at 30, etc).
She is hit by 4 shots from weapons of strength 8 or higher in one shooting phase.

The test is taken immediately upon the condition being met (for close combats, it is taken when the combat starts, after all assault moves, regardless of whether she has/has been charged or not). Miku must take a leadership test, with a negative modifier equal to the number of previous song disruption tests since she either began the current song, or rolled double 1 on a song disruption test (so the first test after one of the above is at Ld 10, the second at Ld 9, etc before other modifiers). If she fails the test, the song is interupted, and the effects stop imediately (the exception being World is Mine! Being disrupted by a close-combat: the charge has already occurred when the song is interupted, so the effects of furious charge and relentless remains still apply, unless they are specified to contiue in the song's rules.

Songs:

Melt: Miku sings a song that melts the hearts of her foe, and their bodies. Miku may make a special shooting attack during her shooting phase in place of any other shooting attack. Place the large blast template up to 12" away from Miku. Any model under the template or between Miku and the template (excluding Miku herself and any other models with 'VOCALOID' special rule) takes a Strength 1 AP 1 hit. Vehicles take a glancing hit on a 6. In close-combat Miku has a power weapon, and rolls 3d6 for armour penitration against vehicles, but does not add her strength, and may not use either of her weapons in conjunction with this.

Parade of Liars: Miku sings of the enemy commanders' lies. As long as the song is active, squads must use their majority leadership, not the highest, for all purposes where a squad leadership is required (so not psychic checks, etc). Opposing Imperial Guard players must reroll passed leadership checks for 'orders' to be successful (if they would be rerolled by a failure, then both rerolls are instead negated). Enemy commanders are enraged by Miku's words, and so at the start of their own movement phase, if the song is still active, any HQ choice which is an independent character, a single model, or a character and retinue, must take a leadership test on the leadership of the character. If they fail, they (and any squad they have joined or are innately a part of) must move towards Miku their maximum movement, may only shoot at Miku, and can only charge Miku, even if her song is afterwards disrupted. If multiple characters are in one squad, they each must pass a leadership check, but if they fail the test, no other independent character with them will suffer the penalty, and will instead separate from the squad, unless they also fail the test.

World is Mine!: All allied units (regardless of army) may use Miku's Leadership if within 24" of her, unless they have the 'rage' special rule, in which case they are too busy madly running towards the enemy to listen to her. All allied units within 24" of Miku (excluding Miku herself) gain furious charge, and fearless as long as the song is active, and may assault after firing rapid fire weapons. Any unit within 12" that is within capture-range of an objective may hold that objective for the rest of the game regardless of unit type, unless it specifies in the unit's rules that it may never count as scoring, has the 'rage' special rule or is a vehicle. However, Miku makes a major target of herself, and during the enemy shooting phase following her starting to sing this song, the first squad to target her with shooting attacks count their weapons as twin-linked (this may not be used by a vehicle of any type, but may be used by a solitary independent character) even if Miku's song has been disrupted. All disruption tests for 'World is Mine!' are at -1 Ld in addition to all other modifiers.

I'd have a hard time taking a Miku model walking around whacking people with a leek seriously....

That being said, the unit seems a bit too complex. Instead of all the seperate rules for various songs, just combine it into one rule....

Vocaloid

I was gonna have her open to any non-chaos army really. Especially as she is (in reality) human-made, it would be odd that only Tau could take her.

As for the songs, I'm thinking of creating a general song-list for all vocaloids, and then choosing between them, similar to choosing psychic powers.

And as for the length, it's just because (being one who likes to abuse badly-worded rules) I'm trying to make sure that (almost) all situations are covered.

Thanks for the input, I will alter them slightly, and correct them in the OP.
