If I do use the lizardmen book I was thinking something like:
skinks = goblin wolf riders without the goblins
saurus = beastmen *and a lot of greenstuff*
temple guard = whatever the beastmen in the special section of their book are
stegadons = ogre kingdom yhetees (mabey deamon princes)
Kroxigor = beastmen minotaurs

Also, check out Ogre Kingdoms Rhinox for the stegadons. Vampire Count Varghulf might be a better fit for the Kroxigor.

And while you're looking at VC, check out their dire wolves. You've also got WoC doggies, and DoC hell hounds.

Edit: Hey here's an idea, you could use Flesh Hounds for Salamanders and Karanak models for Razordon. I also had a look at Gor sprues, it looks like the horns come separately, which is great for you, means no clipping necessary. Just smooth out the flat disc where the horn's supposed to go. I don't know what you can do about the legs though, they really don't look right.

As for the gors legs, i agree there a little of but I figure greenstuff some toes on till it looks more like a paw should work ok.

If you're using beastmen models, then the lack of armour works mechanically with Lizardmen, but not WoC.

You see more WoC players than Lizardmen.
