As a side note; one really awesome thing about Battlefront is they charge based off mass and production difficulty. I'd recommend you'd get the Fortress Europe book, as it contains the most generic lists in the game, and includes the German, Soviets, Americans and British (it's also Late War, if that's what you're interested in).

A Panzerkompanie (German tank company) can easily get to 1000 pts with 8 tanks, and the 500-750 pts left you can spend on infantry and artillery.
