				<description><![CDATA[ So this is a list that I am just now starting to put together and am hoping will be ready by next summer.  This list is based off of a 1850 list that I have been proxying for about a year and have had great success with it.  I have no tournament experiance with SPace wolves so let me know if something you have seen at tourny's will give it problems, or if you think maybe I could be spemding points better or such. The two terminator priests go with long fangs and position their choosers to allow for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>bs</span> 5 for the majoraty of the game (hopefully), and master of runes goes with the 4 frost axe wolf guard in rhino giving the razorbacks cover and shooting lightning out of the top hatch his chooser is used to defend against infiltrators when need be.  The long fangs target transports and light armor first.  the Cav are always looking for any charge target to pull them across the board faster.  The list really works on redundancy, the grey hunters are so fersitile that I can handle just about any type of attack anywhere along my line.  Thanks for any input guys.<br /> ]]></description>

I've never played a 2500 point game, but you may want to consider bringing a little more missile support? Of course that suggestion is entirely circumstantial on whether you're playing a vehicle heavy army or not.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the reply greyhunter.  Do you not think the 14 missiles and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(2);'>3d6</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 7 lightning wont be enough?  If not, is another squad of long fangs what you think?  I have always found three squads hard to position well, considering my razorback wall.  Also I was wondering if anyone had experience and thought that Jaws would be a better power for the advancing master of runes?  I have no experience with these guys, they are new to me.  Jaws seems a little situational to me but maybe not, let me know what you think ?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ a few issues <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>IMHO</span> but I say this again it is ONLY my opinion.<br /> <br /> lord with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>TH</span> is a waste... you nerf his initiative...<br /> rather a Frost wep or claw and give him bombs for vehicles...also why the tail? you have 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>... that is more than enough saves. Also maybe rethink the runic armour... the extra saves are nice but again he is in a unit and you have 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span> so it is a bit overkill.<br /> <br /> a Lord w/ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(534);'>TW</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(195);'>WC</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span>, Meltabombs is 200pts on the nose... leaner and not a lot less effective.<br /> <br /> Your Rune Priests:<br /> again too many upgrades...<br /> why Termy armour? if he is with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span> pack he isn't going to need it...<br /> Why tails? his staff already gives him one of the best hood abilities in the game...<br /> you mentioned master of the runes... 				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the reply Vari!  Ok so you'll have to bare with me here I dont think I know all your abreviations.  On the wolf lord & the frost blade, I think I agree weith you, I have run him both ways, but I think your right and that a frost axe lets him shine alittle more.  Ok as to all the upgrades all over the list, this includes all the wolf tails & the runic armor, I got done writing the list, and had like 80 points or something, and was having a hard time desciding what to do.  So If I drop all the wolf tails, the runic armors, the combi meltas on the terminators, a melta bomb or two I come up with approx 75 or 80 points.  Where should I spend them?  The two terminators and the two terminator rune priests join the missle squads.  The master of runes upgrade is something I have also gone back and forth with, I am maxed out on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> slots so taking another rune priest is out, so at that point is 50 points worth being able to shoot lightning as well as give cover worth it?  If not we save 50, up to about 125.  Ok now I am not sure what a cos is for rune priest.  The terminator armor on the runepriests for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span>'s is jsut to allow another 2+ save for fire suck up.  again not critical but something I have learned to enjoy having the one terminator in the squad, so I thought " hey why not two".  So if not another 40 points, up to 165.  I dont have a termy squad, so I am not sure if maybe its unclear where all the wolf guard go. In case thats the issue: 1st squad: compleatly broken apart, with each combi weapon going with a grey hunter squad, and the termy going in a long fang pack.  The second squad has the termy broken off and added to the other <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span> squad, the remaining four are the body guard for the rune priest ( this unit is only here because I have a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(39);'>FW</span> red scorpion based marine army and this army will be an expansion to that army, and have you seen the new red scorpion librarian w body guard ?   super sick).  The thunder wolf cav....... yet another unit I have gone back and forth on,  so I have run 2 3 man units a lot, and I find that against really shooting armies, the three man squads dont make combat. they get a big old target placed on them, and get blasted.  So after many mnay play tests I have settled on the 5 man unit.  I agree that it limits them in targeting, but I try to get multi assaults, and often if a good target presents itself I will detach the lord and kill a second targetr with him.  The bolters and melta bombs are for wound alocation, the bolter I dont ever fire because they are always fleeting, and I find the ability to allocate wounds indavidually is worth the loss of 2 attacks for the unit ( the melta bombs have proven to be quite useful on this unit actually).  Ok so <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 14... I typically ignore it as long as possable, stripping the rest of the army away with the missiles.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(534);'>TW</span> have proven descent against land raiders.  By ravens, do you mean storm ravens ?  because I dont have any fear of them, I find that my missiles take them down easily.  Finally for what reason would you give the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span>'s a transport?  Thanks again for the critiques and please keep em coming. For every 5 in squad, one in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(332);'>TDA</span> can take ....<br /> <br /> Which one is hammer unit ?  They all are!  no seriously, what do you mean, the long fangs are ranged animals, those squads earn their points back 10 out of 10 games.  While the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(504);'>TWC</span> are my H2H "Hammer".  <br /> <br /> Any list that fits the "lean and mean" description will most certainly fit me, I would love to take a look. I am going to add the 1850 point list that I am starting with to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>.  This list is tried and proven against all types of lists. 				<description><![CDATA[ I like the dbl thunder wolf lord, and I would want to make one squad, against a leaf blower list for instance, manticores or medussas for instance will tear through small <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(504);'>TWC</span> units.  The other issue that I see with it in reguards to my play style is that I think 4 squads isnt enough, in fact my 1850 list has 6 and this thread has been making me rethink dropping one.  Having the repetative units is one of the things that is so key to this lists success.  The last thing I would note is that I find three squads of longfangs hard to deploy on some boards with the 6 or 7 vehicles, one squad always seems to be blocked.  I think that this is a playstyle thing though and that for others having 3 squads would be easy to play well.  Let me just recomend to you to give my cyclone termy attached to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(450);'>LF</span> a try, the unit is just so good at shooting down light armor and infantry caught in the open.  I will post a reformed list later, I need to think and I am pretty sure I want my 6 scoring units back.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, I only played one game with this list today, and it doid pretty good.  I did get a kind of minor win, 2 objectives to 1.  The rune priests in the long fangs are ok, but to be perfectly honest the 14 missiles is plenty of light armor shooting.  The rune priest in the rhino was great, but as you stated, the master of runes most certanly wasnt needed and he did his job great without it.  Once again the repetition in the list was the key.  But after one game I kind of was feeling alittle bored with it. So I spent the rest of the day playing the normal space marine codex.  Thanks for the help with the list. ]]></description>
