Statistically, though, you have a pretty low chance of coming up against the Hedzman, among the 40-50 casters/warlocks in the game, right now. (Actually, I think it is more, though).

I am primarily a Menoth/Skorne player, but I do have a Tier list set up for Rahn, because I think he is cool, and I like the idea of flinging my enemy around the battlefield at my whim. I'd personally drop Eiryss and the Assassin, and throw in another squad of Mittens. Then, with your Halberdiers screening your advance, position yourself to take full advantage of Rahn's feat turn. It is a wincon, if you can preserve your forces until the time is right.
Also, don't be afraid to run that chimera full-throttle out front, and use Rahn's 16" control area to start throwing high-threat units around!

Incidentally, I'm a big fan of the MHSF with Rahn. A unit of Stealth, AD Pathfinders goes a long way in any scenario and using Force Hammer to Slam models into casters is a great way to get assassinations with the MHSF even if you aren't in a position to pull them out with battle mages. Also, they're worth their weight in gold against druids. If you've never played Rahn vs. Circle, trust me, you want the MHSF if for no other reason than to get rid of druids. Invictors are also a solid choice since the unit brings all the buffs they need with them. They have Extended Fire to get a better ranged threat for a turn, CRA and Combined Arms for extra accuracy and power at a distance, and Flank for extra melee hitting power (if they even need it, MAT 7 and POW 10 do perfectly fine on their own). Sentinels can be fun when Polarity Shielded, but my experience with them as opposed to the two ranged units have been much more hit and miss.

I'd personally drop Eiryss and the Assassin, and throw in another squad of Mittens.

You sir, have forfeitted your right to type. Go sit in a corner until you're ready to apologize to the orignal angry elf. More serious note, not "no", but "hell no". Eiryss and the MHA are the win conditions for the list. It is beautifully painted, and chock full of Mage Hunters! I know you are partial to those buggers, but I think that the best wincon setup for Rahn is to maximize on his Feat turn FTW. It is a bit more straightforward than the Mage Hunters. Keep Eiryss, if you must, she is always a monkeywrench for the opposition.
Of course, I am working on an article right now about how to run successful tier lists, so maybe I'm ALSO a bit biased...

The only problem with that setup is that it's excessively vulnerable to something that is already a bad match-up for Rahn i.e. anti-magic. It's the big reason I usually don't bring more than one Battle Mage squad with the man, I'm already fighting uphill against lists with strong anti-magic, the rest of the army should at least be able to pull it's weight in such an encounter.

...I am working on an article right now about how to run successful tier lists...

Your advice for the angry elves should be "don't", possibly underlined once or twice. Their tiers are wretched and few casters get things they actually want for trading off things their army needs or at the very least, really likes to have around...except Ravyn who oddly enough is only missing Aiyana from the mix and gets eEiryss for free.
Re:35 points Rahn

Point taken. I am kind of shooting a little from the hip with my Scyrah List. I am undefeated with the MM list, in a total of...3 games . That doesn't exactly make me a badass with Rahn.
However, I like the idea of taking theme armies, and finding a way to make them work. So...I guess we'll see.

But, not to get too far off topic, my personal bias notwithstanding, I know for a fact that 'Shake knows his angry elves, (I've seen him play), so I will defer to him, until I play my Rahn List enough to see whether or not it works. Conceptually, it is the same general advice I'd give to my Protectorate "students", so there you go.

And, the Fires of Menoth will purge you all from the earth in the end, so the point is moot...
