Horus Heresy - Chaos Questions

I have just finished reading Horus Heresy V.1-4 to my amazement to find there are about 20 more.

I've never been into Chaos before and only knew the basic parts of the story. Chaos = Evil, Horus Heresy = Evil, Big Battle, Death, Destruction, 4 Chaos Gods, etc.

But I can't quite seem to figure out something that I was hoping someone more versed in the lore could help me out.

I know there are 4 Chaos Gods. I know there are 4 traitor legions each representing one of the 4 Chaos Gods.

Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children. (Slaneesh)

Mortarion, Primarch of the Death Guard (Nurgle)

Angron, Primarch of World Eaters

But I didn't find any mention of a Thousands Sons Primarch. I know they're linked to Tzeentch, but I can't find ANY acknowledgement of them in the books I've read.

Is he not important? Who is he? Why build up the other 3 and not mention him. Given the little I know about Chaos, I would most likely play a Tzeentch army due to the special rules of Thousand Sons. Also, to anyone who's read the novels, can you point me in the direction of any literature about the Thousand Sons?

Thanks in advance.

Magnus and the 1000 Sons are not involved with the events on Istvaan because they're fall was not directly connected with Horus and those he manipulated. They're fall was their own doing and it is covered in detail, as mentioned by others above, in "A Thousand Sons" by Graham McNeil

except there really isn't a set order.

it's more of, you read Horus Rising, then False Gods, and then read the rest in any order you want.

Horus Heresy - Chaos Questions

Well Horus Rising, False Gods, Galaxy in Flames and Flight of the Eisenstein then Fulgrim kinda need to be read in that order as while there are overlaps the end of Fulgrim is chronologically after FotE which is after GiF. Other than that though the order matters alot less. The books that are chronologically set before any of the others are Legion, Descent of Angels and the majority of First Heretic although this runs from way before the Heresy right up until events at the end of Fulgrim making it the longest book (chronologically) yet.
