				<description><![CDATA[ If you are allowing squads that are arriving from Reserves to split, then they would split as they Deep Strike, so would be placed separately.<br /> <br /> <br /> However, the current Rulebook <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> has muddied the waters somewhat here, by stating that squads kept in Reserve can't be split into Combat Squads.<br /> <br /> Some players think that this should be taken the same as for the Dark Angels Combat Squad rule, which means that if the squad is kept in Reserve, it can't be split into Combat Squads unless it arrives by Drop Pod (which specifically allows it),<br /> <br /> Some prefer to believe that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> is referring to the squad being split <i>while in Reserve</i>, and so the squad can split as it arrives from Reserve... which would allow them to split on Deep Striking.<br /> <br /> You'll need to decide with your opponent which way to play it.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think they can be combat squaded and deep striked separately <br /> in which case they are placed,scatter and mishap separetely.  <br /> <br /> they are together as one squad when off the board.  they arrive on the same turn.  you cant deep strike half of them and have half of them start on the board.]]></description>

I don't deploy anything. That's why I said it changes back and forthan the onlly other sm guy is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>sw</span> and he drop pods a lot.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>Faq</span> reads it cannot be combat squaded when placed in reserve; to me this reads that you cannot combat squad, deploy half your squad, and reserve the other half. <br /> <br /> Combat squadding happens when the unit is DEPLOYED. Meaning that you have to deploy the entire unit at the same time. Deep striking or coming in from reserve is when the unit is "deployed"; so yes, you can combat squad when they come in from the table edge or deep strike. Thats when the unit is technically deployed.<br /> <br /> I think the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> was just meant to prevent people from deploying half their squad with a heavy weapon and reserving the other half, or other such shennanigans]]></description>

Place a model, scatter and place the rest around the model.  You do this for each squad, so twice.  This way they are deployed in different locations as combat squad says.]]></description>

The discussion is about non-Pod deep strikers.<br /> <br /> I am of the opinion they are rolled for simultaneously (as they are considered 1 unit while in reserve) and then as you deploy them via deepstrike you separate them, meaning two separate locations, two scatter rolls, etc.]]></description>
