				<description><![CDATA[ Here is my current 1500 pt <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> list, has worked pretty well so far<br /> (please excuse spelling if present)<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span>- Bolt pistol (i know it may seem worthless, but i like the idea of it), medi pack, reg standard, vox, plasma gun, carapace armour-<b> 137</b><br /> Lord Commissar- Power fist, carp armour, - <b>90</b><br /> <br /> Elites:<br /> 10 man storm trooper, 2 plasma guns - <b>195</b><br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> <br /> Platoon A= <b>335</b><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>-, medi pack, vox, heavy flamer, plasma gun -100<br /> Infantry Squad 1- melta bombs, power weapon, flamer, vox -75<br /> Infantry Squad 2- mleta bombs, power weapon, flamer, vox -75<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span>- 2 autocannons, 1 lascannon - 85<br /> <br /> Platoon B= <b>315</b><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>- bolt pistol, medi pack, vox, melta gun, nade launcher -80<br /> Infantry Squad 1- melta bombs, power weapon, flamer, vox -75<br /> Infantry Squad 2- mleta bombs, power weapon, flamer, vox -75<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span>- 2 autocannons, 1 lascannon - 85<br /> <br /> Heavy Support:<br /> <br /> Leman Russ Executioner, lascannon and plasma side sponsons- <b>245</b><br /> <br /> Leman Russ Standard, lascannon and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>hb</span> sides - <b>185</b><br /> <br /> Total - <b>1502 </b> (if my opponents dont like me being over, i take out the bolt pistol on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>)<br /> <br /> The way i play this list is this: line up the infantry squads (2 squads of 20), put lord commissar in the middle of the back squad, gives <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span> 10 out to everyone, put <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> behind the LordCom squad, re-rollable morale, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span> on sides of table or in cover, Platoon command squads placed near squads to provide orders and speical weapons. Standard Russ sits and shoots, executioner moves up a little, just enough to cover a majority of board with plasma cannon, may move up front infantry squad to support in case of tank assualt troops. Drop in Storm Troopers to either go after back line heavy weapon infantry or hostile elites. End result is a gooey infantry center that <i>shouldn't</i> break with a nice crunchy russ shell and storm trooper squad that gets its points back. Depending on game type, i can alter it, use ur imagination. I have been called plasma heavy but i disagree. Lord Commissar has power fist because if he somehow he gets pulled out of squads (last man standing or just bad luck) he go down without a fight.<br /> <br /> C&C welcome<br /> -Cheers]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Firstly, if you're combining infantry squads then you're buying too many voxes. You only need one for each combined squad.<br /> <br /> Standards never seem to really add as much as I'd hoped in a game. Medipack not really worth it, just take the extra plasma and if you lose a guardsman you lose a guardsman!<br /> <br /> I would trim stormies down to 5 men as you still get the special weapons then. Personally I think they work better as a suicide melta squad.<br /> <br /> Any points saved can stick a regular commissar in those infantry squads. Use the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> for giving his leadership to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span> for orders.<br /> <br /> Not sure of heavy flamer in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> 1 either. maybe just go triple flamer and vox here?<br /> <br /> Executioner is very expensive for my taste, but I know some people like it. I feel nervous at land raider prices for 11 rear armour!!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hmm <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> normal commissars are better than lord commissars. x2 of them with swords is the same price as your lord with the added benefit of being in the unit. Russ doesnt need <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HB</span> sides <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span>, I prefer mine to be mobile. As the above said, trim down storms and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>, they're expendable. Not a real fan of mixed <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span>. Autos cant touch things lascannons hit and lascannons dont have the shots to back up autos. ]]></description>

Trim down the stuff on the units listed and get some commissars in the blob squads. <br /> <br /> Also, I have a slight hatred of executioners, as for another 85 points you could take 2 lascannon russes, which are more mobile and  still give you ap3 weapons]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Pretty much all the units have the wrong weapon mixes. A flamer and plasma gun don't go together instead they should be loaded with mass specials like the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span>. <br /> <br /> The Lord Commissar is going to die before he swings that power fist as I1, Lord Commissar should be with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(638);'>HWTs</span> to stop them running away thanks to his stubborn bubble <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the suggestions. Now that I've read these I see the logic in them but I do have some counter arguements.<br /> <br /> 1. The reason their are two voxes is that if the game type ends up multiple objectives, i can split the squads and still be able to effectivley give orders.<br /> <br /> 2. I don't have two commissars instead of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> because of a tatic that I have found that is risky but pays off very well: With the before mentioned setup, an assualt base army will ususally try to go for the first infantry squad. Now, if its a brood of hormies or mob of orks, a commissar wont count for a crap, or if it is a pimped out squad of space marines (includes vanialla, death company, blood claws etc) it wont matter either. This way when the front squad breaks, they can try to get away, if caught oh well it didnt work out good, if not, on my turn i can get them back into the fight with CCC thanks to the hopefully a vox still alive and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span> 10 bubble. Then i can proceed to first rank second rank and flamer the assaulting squad as they try to move closer. This is risky i know but i have had good success with it.<br /> <br /> 3. On the autocannon/lascannon issue, their job is to take out transports that way i dont have to risk the above mentioned tatic. I should probley replace the lascannon with missle launcher, that way it keeps them focused on same goal. But i have the 2-1 combo so a pair of wounds doesnt take out a team, and i only pay an extra 5 or 10 points for it.<br /> <br /> 4. Say what you want about the Executioner, but i just can't deny the joy and power of 5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>pcs</span> taking out terminators or megaknobs, which would rip through my guardsmen like a hot knife through butter.<br /> <br /> I do agree with the stormtroopers as a sucide melta squad, might try that out.<br /> <br /> -Cheers<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

He could find out that he has 5 objectives to take and then decide a platoon with 50 men in it is 5 squads of 10, a squad of 20 and a squad of 30, or a squad of 50, if he wanted.<br /> <br /> Now whether voxes are worth taking to begin with is a completely different story.  I'd say keep that 35 points and put it somewhere useful.]]></description>

Its a nice idea but it has its trade offs. (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>Btw</span> $$$ plays a <i>small</i> role in my list building, and medusas arent cheap)<br /> <br /> Thank you whoever pointed out that I can split my squads before the game starts, I find the useful seeing with vox if they break I can get <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> to rally them back more effectivley.]]></description>
