I think that this website offers the right kind of stuff but there are lots of options like foamboard, styrofoam etc. Which is the best for the kind of project I wish to undertake?

[edit:] Looked at the site again, and what he calls "styrofoam" appears to be the extruded polystyrene insulation I was talking about. Most hardware store, at least in the US, can sell you a two part epoxy by the gallon. You just mix it up and seal the foam after you finish the terrain.
