I'm in the process of painting up some imperial guard for use in either an inquisitorial force or as just regular guard. I painted up a test model just to see the color scheme as it would lay on the model. Two questions:
-does this color scheme bear a resemblance to any known (by known I mean "has fluff") guard unit? The red looks familiar but I can't place it.

-also, judging by the pictures below, should I paint the boots red, black, or other?

Please bear in mind that this is a test model, so I definitely didn't put much effort in as far as full coats/shading/highlighting. I will be putting a great deal more effort into each model once the scheme is finalized.

My reasoning is that a military organization like the IG would have colored uniform/armor, but not colored boots. So has anybody seen this paint scheme before?
