Hopefully this is in the right place..

I received an email from MicroMark, a company that sells modeling tools, etc. and saw this:
http://www.micromark.com/HO-Scale-Surface-Detail-Rivet-Decals,9968.html?Ns_md=Email&Ns_sc=Marketing&Ns_cn=11018A&ns_pc=11018A&Utm_source=Marketing&Utm_medium=Email&Utm_campaign=11018A

(you may have to copy and paste the info above as I don't know how to make it work as a link)

Has anyone used this before? I have a hard time making rivets in plasticard for my conversions and this looks like it would make the task much easier.

alexgm101 wrote:i'm just worried when you paint over them they will ...... 'disappear.....'

Exactly! I know at least one of those scales is really small, but am still looking for a reference for relative sizes. Long ago, I bought model train deer to add to my WE, and they were actually the size of dogs or spites when lined up with the Welvises... did not work out.

Rahz wrote:You could also use http://www.scalehardware.com/

I have been considering them, as well, but the need to drill for the pin may limit areas for placement. And, if I clip the pin, I may as well use home made... Minor, I know, but it has made me hesitate on picking them up. The hex bolts are freakin sweet, though!

Now peel and stick... that is about as work-free as one can get! I have a LOT of rivets to place!

Edit: O scale is 1:48, and HO is 1:72, so O scale is going to be the closest. Now, to purchase!

Edit 2: For some reason I was thinking they were peel-and-stick, however, these are waterslide decals.

Re:Rivets - anybody used this?

I got the HO scale rivets (maybe should have looked for O scale?) They seem way too tiny for 40k use. Maybe to detail out some old power armor but certainly too small for vehicle use. And even if you get them on your model (might be a hassle) they are so small that thick paint would cover them up. (you can just feel the bumps running your fingertips over the sheet)
