				<title>How should I make an artillary style army.</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So I've been sitting here thinking to myself about different army styles I seem to enjoy.<br /> I play a lot of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(115);'>RTS</span> games, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(324);'>DoW</span>/CoH/Starcraft/Warcraft and so on.<br /> And I was trying to think of a fun way to adapt how I play those games into an army on the tabletop.<br /> <br /> I was thinking of trying to do an artillary battery army<br /> To do this, I was thinking either Guard (so far, top contender) or Orks with Big Gunz and Lootas.<br /> But I'm not sure how I'd execute the idea really... Which brings me to my question.<br /> <br /> I'd obviously run some Basilisks/Griffons ect. in a Guard army and lay down as many pie-plates as I could each round to blow everything to bits.<br /> But not sure how well it'd work.<br /> <br /> *EDIT*<br /> I was thinking Iron Warriors, but from memory the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> Codex doesn't have much in the way of long ranged weaponry does it?<br /> <br /> Has anyone got any decent ideas or seen any decent artillary battery lists I could try to build off to use?<br /> <br /> Thanks in advance<br /> ~Danzag]]></description>

It could also be backed up by <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(449);'>PBS</span> in Chimera.  At that point you've got enough pie, so I would focus all remaining points on melta vets and vendettas.  It's actually a pretty cookie cutter <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> list.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ A slight variant of the 3x Manticore list would be 2x Manticores and 2x Basilisks. The squadron rule hurts the Basilisks less because they should be out of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> and 2 weapons will give you the same average firepower as 1 Manticore. The nice thing is that you get an AP3 option as well as breaking up the types of models used so it feels less spammy. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Manticores, basilisks etc in whatever quantity work well in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span> - make sure oyu use all 3 slots so they can shoot at 3 different targets. <br /> <br /> For other slots, the valyrie with hellstrikes/rocket pods has a nice template attack. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span> with mortars from troops and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(373);'>MOO</span> in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span>.<br /> <br /> Maybe go for some grenade launchers on troops and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(449);'>PBS</span> from the elites. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ well if <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(60);'>IA</span> is an option you can get "proper" artillery as well, with entrenched basilisks and quad-launcher to mention a few.<br /> <br /> A manticore or two should at least be included.... <br /> <br /> Like minigun says a squad of 2 basilisks would be a nice addition (or griffons being so cheap)]]></description>
