Converting a suitably grimdark pre-heresy Konrad Curze/Night Haunter

Right then, guys, I've got a problem/challenge for you. I have recently become a pre-heresy Night Lords player, and like many who dabble in that era of the 40k verse I am hankering to add a Primarch model to my army. However, I am stuck for ideas on how best to do this. I was thinking something along the lines of;

Chaos Terminator lord's Lightning Claws and legs (biggerised using Greenstuff, plasticard, and most likely lots of swearing).

Astorath the Grim's torso and head, with the Blood drop removed.

Chaos Raptor's jump pack.

It seems to me like a sound plan, but it just lacks a little...I don't know, something. He is the Dark King after all. I won't pretend I'm a great converter or anything, but I have a tendancy not to give up when it would probably be sound and so will try anything once. I need ideas, thoughts, etcetera etcetera-anything you can offer will be appreciated.
Help me Dakka Dakka, you're my only hope!
LLF

I'd suggest you read ADB's "Savage Weapons" story from the Age of Darkness anthology. He does a pretty good description of Curze.

Thanks guys-Kan, I will do just that. Although, intergrating the cape and jump pack may be a problem-anyone got any thoughts on how I could do it? Thanks.

Re:Converting a suitably grimdark pre-heresy Konrad Curze/Night Haunter

I'm also working on a Konrad Curze mini. I'm actually going to modify some of the Lightning claws from the Raptors set for his claws (that set also has a lot of good bits you can use with the night Lords, especially the chain swords which you can make into Nostraman Chainglaives). A common misconception is that Curze had a jump pack, but in all actuality, he doesnt have one. I've contacted Forgeworld about Curze's rules in Book 2: Massacre, and they confirmed that he does not have a jump pack, but is so incredibly agile and fast that he moves as Jump Infantry. This would eliminate the problem of the cape and the pack. Just a side note to keep in mind.
