[2000][Blood Angels][Tournament][Dreadnought/Dual Stormraven]

After much list writing and debating, I think I've finally come up with a finalized version of this list. Now to put it through the meatgrinder

Now, first, a bit of info about the list:
*This is intended for use at the Grim Open. This GT uses a NoVA mission system, in which there are 3 missions, rotated each round in Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary win conditions. ONLY ONE OF THE MISSIONS REQUIRES TROOPS: this is the reason for my very small number of scoring units. One mission is KPs, one is Table Quarters, however they can be claimed by any unit, not just scoring. The last mission is standard objectives: however for this mission I intend to simply go for a draw on the primary (by targeting my opponents troops and contesting objectives) and get a win on the secondary, which is kill points. Also, the games are simply scored as Win/Loss: winning by 1 VP and having everything else tied would get you the same number of points as tabling your opponent. There are no draws.
*I am full aware of the low model count, however this is the norm for my lists and am quite used to it
*I have been debating whether to switch Mephiston for a generic librarian and an assault squad: however have decided that he adds a great benefit to the army by giving the opponent a massive distraction, as well as the simple fact that he is cool as hell

Now! On to the list:

Mephiston - 250

Furioso Librarian w/ Wings of Sanguinius and Might of Heroes - 175 (Any suggestions on psychic powers for these?)
Furioso Librarian w/ Wings of Sanguinius and Might of Heroes - 175
Furioso Librarian w/ Wings of Sanguinius and Might of Heroes - 175

10x Death Company w/ Thunder Hammer and Power Weapon (had 15 points left) - 245
Death Company Dreadnought w/ Blood Talons - 125
Death Company Dreadnought - 125
10x Tactical Marines w/ Missile Launcher and Plasma - 180 (Who knows? They might grab an objective)

Dreadnought w/ 2x Twin-Linked Autocannons - 120 (suppression fire)
Stormraven w/ Multi-Melta and Extra Armor - 215
Stormraven w/ Multi-Melta and Extra Armor - 215

Total - 2000
11 KPs, 2 Scoring Units, 4 Meltas, lots of Assault S10

Stormraven 1: Death Company and Death Company Dreadnought w/ Blood Talons
Stormraven 2: 1/2 of the Tactical Squad (to make it scoring) and other DC Dreadnought

You'll notice that Mephiston isn't in a Stormraven:
*Being in the Stormraven would put it much higher on an opponents target priority
*Being out of the Stormraven draws fire towards him and away from the Stormravens and Dreads
*Being in the Stormraven wastes his WoS power, he can still move up the board rather quickly
*He can hide behind the Librarians whilst advancing up the field to make up for the lack of an invulnerable save

Thoughts? All criticism is greatly appreciated.

Nope I'm wrong.

As far as analysis goes, I think you're going to do very well against anything that wants to sit and shoot you. Against very maneuverable opponents, however, you might be in trouble. The low model count isn't significant only due to the magnitude of your losses for each model, but also in terms of total # of targets that you can engage. So something like Mechdar will likely be a pain in the ass for you to deal with.

Also, any army with bonuses to Seizing Initiative or getting first turn, that can alpha strike you in your deployment zone, is going to shut down a lot of what makes this list work. It's a lot of threats, sure, but you've got almost 500 points tied up in a pair of AV12 vehicles.

Or is it simply a weakness of the list?

NuggzTheNinja wrote:
Also, any army with bonuses to Seizing Initiative or getting first turn, that can alpha strike you in your deployment zone, is going to shut down a lot of what makes this list work. But still...any ways you can think of to improve on this?

Edit: I'm also considering switching Might of Heroes for Fear the Darkness. This gives me a better chance against deathstars: most deathstars (Nob Bikers, TH/SS, Thunderwolves) aren't fearless. Therefore would 3 leadership checks at -2 be enough to send them packing? It also is powerful against armies such as Tau and IG. I'm worried about losing those extra D3 attacks though...

Why not give at least one of the Dreads Shield? I think 3 might be overkill and one and a half scoring units is going to have a hard time getting the job done.
