Black and Greys are great then mud as well but they will come out very Grim dark which is fine because Kreig are morbid and it is the grim dark future. Otherwise, any colour is good. You may not believe me, but I've seen good things from anything from deep reds (a-la Coldstream Guards) to light blues inspired from french WW1 forces. Standard grey is of course, a no brainer.

Something to make your Kriegsmen stand out a bit more is to paint the greatcoats a different colour from the fatigues, but have the leg wrappings match the gas masks/gloves for a more uniform feel.

ALSO! BIG TIP!
