Flaming Arrows - Cause Fear?

Flaming Arrows cause fear to units like cavalry, war beasts and chariots. Does this imply that when you fire flaming arrows at a unit of this type, they take a panic test? Or is it just when they are in combat?

Cheers

Flaming Arrows - Cause Fear?

There is no where in the rulebook (that i can find) where being shot at by flaming arrows causes a panic test in those units. It would appear Davall has it correct, only in close combat do models with flaming attacks cause fear against war beasts, cavalry, and chariots.

If you cause fear and you get charged by cav that causes terror, you don't take a terror test.
With Ld5 infantry, that's a nice bonus.

-Matt
