15min WIP, striping with a sonic cleaner

The machine is runing, but the camera is out of juice so I'll just tell you how it goes when its done.\

What I have doen is place a very poorly painted model with varnish into the cleaner and set it for one of its lowest settings.

Update, it seems to be working, the varnish is comeing off and so is a bit of the paint, BUT the cleaner now refuses to turn on and I don't know why, I will give an update when I figure it out.

Re:15min WIP, striping with a sonic cleaner

Update: I got the cleaner working again an set it for 15 min. When I came back, it had removed more of the paint and varnish and plasitc was obvios in some spots. However it had rubbed the elbow of the model smooth.

Lukily I did not need this model.

My verdict: DO NOT ATTEMPT

It will damage the plastic, I would like to avoid chemicals, but it seems there is no other option.
There are much better ways to do this, the paint did come off, but it was slow, there is a lot of paint left, so this is ineffective.

Whats funny is the base had nothing on it at all and was left undamaged, so if your stripping basses only its acualy not bad, keep in mind whats going in and how much is going to come off and float around.
