				<title>Master Division, Fight!</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Randomly assigned opponents:<br /> Round 1<br /> The Albino Ram (beast lord on chariot)<br /> VS<br /> RotSnik The Spider King (Great Shaman on Arachnarok Spider)<br /> <br /> Albino Ram wins the toss and charges in, The Spider King stands and fires (8 short bows), hitting and wounding 3 times, but all 3 bounce off the chariots armor.<br /> Albino cringes at the mass of the spider, failing his terror induced fear test, dropping to WS1.<br /> 4 Impact hits fail to wound.<br /> Cowering in terror, the Albino Ram hits once, wounds, and thanks to the biting blade, bypasses the armor of the spider.<br /> His chariot scores a 2nd wound on the spider (thanks to the +1 S when charging).<br /> The goblin crew strike back hitting 7 times (terror's a bitch!), but fail to wound.<br /> The Great shaman swings twice, but fails to wound.<br /> The giant spider hits and wounds with 3 (hits with venom surge, but fails to wound).<br /> The Albino Ram has 3 for combat res (thanks to charging), to the Spider Kings 3; combat is a tie.<br /> <br /> Magic Phase, Spider kings gets 6 dice, and channels for a 7th.  He throws 5 at Ichy, and it goes off on a 21. Albino fails to dispel (19), and loses 4 points of move and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(74);'>init</span>.<br /> Spider King seals the deal with Gift of the Spider God.<br /> Melee: Big spider does 4 poison wounds and drops the chariot.<br /> Goblin crew and shaman do 4 poison wounds, 1 gets past armor, and the beast lord fails the ward, do to the shamans other tricksters shard.<br /> Beast Lord swings back (3 bonus attacks), hits 5 times, wounds once, spider fails it's save.<br /> The big spider stomps, wounds with 3, Beast lord passes 2 armor saves, but another gets past the ward (again, thanks to the shard).<br /> Beast lord makes 2 more bonus attacks, hitting once, but not wounding.<br /> Beast Lord loses combat, but rolls snake eyes to hold.<br /> <br /> Poison Death is swift.  The Albino Ram takes the hit from Venom surge, fails his armor and ward, and takes 5 wounds, turning him into a pile of goo.  <br /> <br /> Failing terror in the 1st round pretty much sealed it.<br /> As an early prediction, I'm going to say that the winner of this tournament will be the one with the best performing mount.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> -Matt<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

That's why I posted him 1st.<br /> He's got a high volume of attacks, but S5 is a bit limiting; and T4 with 6+ armor and 4+ ward is not exactly bullet proof for the character.<br /> The magic does help though, 2 rounds of fighting with a possible super poison and armor piercing could do the trick.<br /> <br /> We will see...<br /> <br /> -Matt<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Filth Cradle the Great Unclean One, vs the Unnamed Black Orc Warboss on Wyvern.<br /> <br /> Filth generates spells and swaps for the #1 spell.<br /> <br /> Filth wins the toss, and not having a ranged attack, charges.<br /> Filth generates 7 power dice, and 4 dispel dice in the magic phase.<br /> Filth throws 6 dice to make his opponent <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span>, S, T, I, and A 1.<br /> Filth gets unstoppable, gimping the black orc and his wyvern.  Looks like it's going to be a short fight.<br /> Rolls on the Miscast table.<br /> TWO.  Not good.<br /> He and the warboss take S10 hits, both failing saves and taking a wound.<br /> Then, the big <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>D6</span>.  TWO.<br /> Filth Cradle is sucked into the dimensional cascade, and is removed.<br /> <br /> WINNER: Unnamed black orc.  Won the combat simply by showing up.<br /> <br /> -Matt]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The 3rd Pairing is the battle of the Chaos Dragons.<br /> <br /> Thenska Ven-Tchar, Grand Archon of Tzeentch<br /> Sorcerer Lord w Lvl4<br /> Mark of Tzeentch<br /> Chaos Dragon<br /> Charmed Shield<br /> Fencer's Blades<br /> Talisman of Preservation<br /> Other Trickster's Shard<br /> <br /> Chaos lord<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(102);'>mot</span><br /> dragon<br /> amulet of preservation<br /> helm of many<br /> charmed shield<br /> sword of might<br /> favor of the gods<br /> acid ichor<br /> sporific musk<br /> His name is Mlacaziuos tz dragon rider. <br /> <br /> The Chaos Lord is exceptionally lucky.  HE IS ILLEGAL, have 2 enchanted items (favor and helm of many eyes).<br /> Gear is randomly selected for destruction, until he becomes legal, and the first selected is the Helm of Many Eyes; making him legal again.<br /> The Organ gun of punishment misfires, and he walks away largely unscathed.<br /> <br /> Sorc generates spells, rolling 1,4,5,5.  He chooses to swap for 6, giving him flickering fire, Gate Way, and 2 spells that have no effect on characters or mounts.  Lore of tzeench looks pretty crappy from here.<br /> <br /> Chaos Lord wins the toss (thanks to the +1 for being cheaper).<br /> He closes in and Roars, 3 hits, all on dragon, no wounds.<br /> Sorc Lords Turn:  8 power dice, 6 dispel dice.<br /> Casts Gate Way on a 24, chaos lord rolls all 6 to dispel (fails on an 18).  Gate Way does 7 hits at strength 10! <br /> 6 Hits on the dragon, 1 on the chaos lord.  The chaos lords charmed shield discounts his hit.<br /> Chaos Lords Dragon Takes 3 wounds (rolled three 1's!!!)<br /> The Caster follows up with a flickering fire, but fails to wound.<br /> <br /> 2nd Round of Combat:<br /> Chaos Lord Charges in, hits the Sorc Dragon 3 times, and wounds once, dragon fails.<br /> Sorc Lord Swings back, no wounds.<br /> Dragons tear into each other.<br /> The chaos lords dragon does another to his evil brother.<br /> Not to be out done, the Sorc Lords dragon swings back doing 3 unsaved wounds, killing the chaos lords ride.<br /> But, also at <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(74);'>init</span> 3, as the dragon falls from the sky, he breathes the gas (better odds).  Does a whopping 4 hits, no wounds.  The chaos sorces dragon, starting the round ahead by 3 wounds, saved his breathes.<br /> <br /> After a quick glance through the rules, no eye of the gods is made, as the character did not drop the monster.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(74);'>Init</span> Last: Thunder Stomping on chaos lord; 5 hits, 4 wounds, no armor, makes all 4 wards, but must re-roll and fails 1.<br /> <br /> Combat: Chaos Lord 2 wounds + charging for 3.  Sorc Lord: 4 wounds.<br /> <br /> Chaos Lord breaks on an 11, and is run down.  <br /> Had he held, he would have failed his fear test, and been munched by the dragon. (I forgot the break test, made it half way through the next sequence, and rolled the break I had missed).<br /> <br /> Blood Curdling Roar cost the chaos lord the match.  Because he's got the ranged attack, he held back rather than charging in.  Had he just charged in, he would have been safe in melee, unable to be targeted by those nasty tzeench spells.<br /> <br /> If the Chaos Sorcerer Doesn't get the round of magic while not in melee, he may be in trouble....<br /> <br /> <br /> -Matt<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> The 4th Pairing:<br /> Fileur Mort (vampire lord on dragon)<br /> vs<br /> Qukai-Itza, the invisible slaan with lore of metal.<br /> Spells are 0,1,2,4,6<br /> <br /> Fileur Mort generates Summon Zombies, Van Hels, and Curse of Years.<br /> <br /> The Slaan wins the toss (due to being cheaper)<br /> Looking at the pairing, the slaan pretty much has only 1 chance.  He's got to drop the vampire with his one and only magic phase.  1 attack at WS2 and S4 (no armor) isn't going to cut it.<br /> Slaan Generates 7 power dice, and 5 dispel dice; Fileur Mort channels a bonus dispel die.<br /> <br /> Slaan throws 2 dice at the golden hounds, targeting the vampire, it goes off on a 12.  Vampire throws 3 dice at it, rolling 1,1,2, failing to dispel.  3 hits, 2 wounds, 1 ward save.  Vampire takes a wound.<br /> Then the slaan unloads 5 dice on Searing Doom (going for the 20+); which goes off on an unstoppable 29!<br /> 5 hits (3 on dragon, 2 on vampire), Vampire fails a ward and take another wound!<br /> Dragon Takes a wound!<br /> Slaan detonates, though he is touching no one.<br /> <br /> Vampire's Turn.<br /> Vampire passes stupidity check and Charges in!<br /> Magic: 3 power dice, 2 dispel dice, Vampire must discard 6's.<br /> On a 12, he heals himself. (slaan fails to dispel on a snake eyes).<br /> On an 8, he creates 6 zombies behind the slaan (not very sporting!).<br /> <br /> Melee:<br /> Slaan passes terror, fails fear, but passes on re-roll.<br /> Vampire does 1 wound, despite the red fury and re-rolls; though he's back to full strength.<br /> Slaan misses (by a lot).<br /> Dragon Tears into the slaan, scoring 5 wounding hits! (that's all of them), and the slaan fails 2 saves.<br /> With only a wound left, the dragon stomps (yeah, slaan is infantry).<br /> Slaan takes 5 more hits, 4 more wounds, and fails 2 more saves, dying.<br /> <br /> <br /> Guys, keep an eye on the vampire lord, this guys got potential.<br /> And yeah, if the combat went long enough, those zombies were going to charge into the rear for the combat res.<br /> <br /> -Matt<br /> ]]></description>

In the masters, I changed the rules so rather than just being flat out disqualified, I replaced it with gear destruction.<br /> It's the Masters. <br /> I expect legal characters. So unfair.  The only saving grace was the loss of power dice, which would have let Cloud go off, doing S5 S5 no save hits on the king.<br /> The Horned Rat had a very hot streak on the rolling.  He kept hitting with 4 out of 5 attacks, had a 12 power die magic phase, passed a pair of 5+ wards, rolls high on the D3 for wounds, and so on.<br /> The Dwarf King on the other hand had 4 hits, but rolled a pair of 1's on the 2+ to wound, and rolled poorly for saves, failed to dispel by 1.<br /> <br /> I think if that fight was played out a few more times, you'd see the King wining more often than not.<br /> <br /> -Matt]]></description>
