Mini-Safe Primer Options

Hello all,
I am reaching out for some advice on primers. Specifically, which primers that are relatively inexpensive and are safe for miniatures. My preference so far has been Krylon Fusion and I would continually stick with that, but all my local Wal-Marts (4 total) only carry Satin Black and White (I think). I have heard that some folks have used Rustoleum in the past, but I do not recall which product line of theirs was mentioned.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on primer brands/lines that are mini safe? Also where they are sold would help!

I really recommend Army Painter and GW, although they are expensive :(

I've had good luck with Krylon, but I've heard Rustoleum goes on thick. Rustoleum is meant to prevent rust and such, I think their are better primers than that.

Krylon, Krylon maybe a bit more Krylon and did i forget to mention Krylon?

GW is a spray paint, not a primer. Army painter is a combo spray paint and primer. I'd go krylon. better tooth for the paint to adhere to.
I use regular hardware store type primers. Krylon, walmart brand, etc. Some seem to go on thick when wet, but dry thin. Like mentioned above, they are true primers...they stick well to the mini and paint takes very well to them.

(Equal to 2 cans of Krylon price-wise)
Any lines of Rustoleum I should avoid?

Soverntear wrote:Krylon, Krylon maybe a bit more Krylon and did i forget to mention Krylon?

GW is a spray paint, not a primer.
