I've created this account in preparation to go alongside a blog I've started; it's gonna be for geeky stuff as in videogames and warhammer and anything else I happen upon that is suitably geeky.

Also, i was wondering what the people of dakka thought about competitions that people pay to enter (such as a conversion competition) and then you win half of allthe entrant fees. I will also donate another quarter to a charity of second place's choice. Or is this sort of thing frowned upon?

Just to let you know, I contacted dakka help email or whatever it is. And they said that more 'humble' prizes are usually used to discourage cheating and the like. So, I may host some of them on here.
